Fun Fact: the japanese VAs for Loid and Yor were the same one as Hikigaya and Yukino in Oregairu, meaning they were the main couple in two popular animes.

Try *only* couple in Oregairu's case. Funny thing is, when Oregairu was still going, there was a huge debate as to who Hachiman would end up with, if he even ended up with anyone, but now it's practically general knowledge that Yukino is the girl he chooses. If anything, Spy x Family only reinforces that, since Loid and Yor are in many ways them but older.

I’m pretty sure that April 6th 1963 represents her date of employment because the look and style of everything including cars, steam engines, clothes, furniture, etc just screams “1960s!”, and even if Ostenia is an analog for East Germany, if that date was her birthday, I doubt that even with East Germany being a bit backwards that everything would still look like the 1960s in 1990, especially since that was the year East Germany reunited with West Germany, and since the Cold War had been over for a few years, it’s doubtful that you would have Cold War era spy-work still happening like in the show.

Also the TV and radio both look like they’re from the 1950s or 60s (the radio is actually sitting next to the TV to it’s right in the scene in this episode (episode 8) - it’s the size of a piece of furniture and half the size of the TV, which of course is huge and blocky). The only odd thing about the TV is that it’s a color TV instead of a black and white one, but the again it could be the late 60s when those started to become common, I suppose.

That’s why showing a 2000’s American school bus is such a jarring mistake in the story! It wouldn’t be in Berlin(t), it’s way out of the era, and do you think Eden Academy would use such a crummy vehicle for it’s elite students?

But with his brain and knowledge he comes to equal standing if they fight. Even author said that Yor is 100 and loid is 70 if it comes to strength. But loid got Spy things other than brute power.

2:30 Japanese people can't prounounce the word "L" they prounounce the "L" with "R", if yor's name is yolanda than, its short form is yol, and in japaness pronouncetion it is, "yor". Funfact: Your's original name was meant to be yoru which means "night", the the creator of Spy x Family change it to "Yor"

I'd actually love for the manga (and anime in the future) to explore the concept of karma and feelings of guilt for Yor and Loid for killing and taking peoples lives. While they do complete their missions for the sake of peace and protecting the nation, they are still ending people's lives, many of whom have loved ones as well, their own dreams and ambitions, their own ideals, pain, suffering, happiness, and emotions. Just chalking the people they killed as human garbage feels cheap. The weight of a human or conscious life is not something I feel should easily be brushed aside. I'd love to see them explore their own guilt and/or inner demons, nightmares, etc more in the manga and humanize them a bit more. Seeing a lot of deaths and killing people might make them a bit more numb than the average person, but I cannot see them not feel haunted by the actions they've taken in ending lives, even if its for the sake of others. I hope the manga doesn't just gloss over this. 🙏🙂

She's also kind of dumb at things other than assassination / weapons and all 😂 she accepted the lie that Loid is 'treating' the patients by fighting / hitting them, made up an excuse for not letting yuri know about her marriage being, she forget it, in manga, when Anya found & thrown back her weapon, yor thought that the wind might have returned it.
