Nope. Greedo made his intentions clear about killing Solo and taking his ship, so Han blew him away. Greedo never got a shot off. I only watch the original versions, not the so-called 'special editions'.@@CHASEPRODUCTIONS18

Why are Star Wars fans happy to have Han be a murderer? If Greedo shoots first, then Han has a right to defend himself. But you want Han as a cold-blooded killer.

On the "Coffee botch" fact, I was reminded of a French friend who went for a ridiculously overpriced cup of something Caffeinated. The barista asked his name, he replied "It's Marc - with a C" His cup was served to him with "Cark" scrawled on the side . . . . . Great list by the way!

Two that I like: There is a Single moment of CGI in the original Star Wars film, The Death Star Schematics. And one word that never occurs in the Return of the Jedi script, Ewok.

Ewoks are the scariest race in the galaxy. Think about it. They’ve evolved to look like walking build-a-bears and they got the jump on a wookie, a pirate and an almost Jedi and the motherfuckers we’re gonna grill and eat them. Nevermind taking down a galactic government

Star Wars fans: Han shot first because it says so in original script George can't changey Also Star Wars fans: CHOKED OFFICER IS NAMED CONAN CREATOR HAS SPOKEN
@lucasoheyze45976 ай бұрын
Yeah, that's fine because that Imperial officer's name was never established so it changes nothing.

don't forget that Han Solo was meant to be an alien with gills, so that would maybe be an interesting meet up with Allen (basically swapping the roles)

Not the only dubious name for something in Star Wars. In the original Han Solo trilogy of books there was a droid named Zollux. At least, that was it's name in the UK. In the US version it was called Bollux.

Nute Gunray is named after Newt Gingrich and Ronald Reagan, while Lott Dodd (Trade Fed. Senator) is named after 1997 GOP Senate Leader Trent Lott. Despite this unflattering etymology, the prequels never make it clear whether the Trade Federation support lower taxes or higher taxes. Probably because no matter which one they chose, half the audience would’ve supported it.

yes, Ian McDiarmid is younger than Harrison Ford but he did not play originally in the first trilogy.

One of my favorite tidbits about the death Star scene came from a documentary. One of the X-Wing pilot actors complain that they weren't actually acting off of other people but just delivering their dialogue directly. He had memorized it as a conversation so he couldn't say his lines without being prompted. So the solution they came up with was for him to have his script on his lap. When you go back and watch it you can see one of the pilots is constantly looking down while talking and that's why.

Not exactly a shock revelation though... Threepio literally said: ": In his belly you will find a new definition of pain and suffering as you are slowly digested over a thousand years." in Return of the Jedi back in '83. 😁

Apparently Luke didn’t know Vader was his father after they’d shot the scene. His on-screen reaction is actually to being told Obi-Wan killed his father.

It is disappointing (though not surprising) that the bastardized versions of the movies are used in this video. As much as I loved the originals, I loathe the modifications that Lucas has insisted are his legacy. It’s disappointing that he himself should have tarnished his legacy. “Han shot first” is more than a meme, slogan, or even rally-cry: it is a fundamental character trait that rendered him frankly pathetic. Lucas then doubled down with the hall of Stormtroopers, when again, the original 4 (or 8?) were plenty to establish how Han is truly all smoke and no fire.
