In case anyone wonders why BMW don't make a 'supercar': The EU regulations requires that companies have a emissions cap - that's not per car, but all across the range. This allows for for BMW to make fast versions of almost all their cars, making them accessible across a price range too.

the i8 was disappointing for performance but the car looks spectacular and futuristic. They should put the S58 or S68 engine with electric motors to the front wheels for the i9 which would be good for at least 30 miles before requiring a charge. Just my opinion

C&D always beats the mfg numbers bc they use a 1 ft rollout. This goes back to the early days of testing when they used a light beam to start the clock. The car would effectively move about 1 ft before the clock would start. Now we measure by gps and it’s now possible to measure from actual zero. But for all the tests to be apples-apples C&D keeps using the rollout method.

It's natural to always want to push the envelop of power and speed in cars. But given the environment we live in , what does it mean (and if it really matters or not) that the 0-60mph time is sub 3 secs? At the end of the day, JMHO, it's really about bragging rights of the owners to boast their cars 0-60 times.

@@winstonnyamutsita3988 the regular M5 F90 was the best to have 2017 it was without cpu restriction from the factory, people's that have one of the first units was really impressed when they destroyed some lambos lol i know one guy that drives, fast check on dyno and the stats was mind blowing 615+ whp and 702 hp on crank 🤯 similar to M5 comp

thumbs down: puts bmw ix in the 4th and forgets to say top speed in a ranking of FAST cars, the number 6 i4 is also only 225km/h "fast", thats slower than 7,8,9 and 10 places and slower than many diesels.

THOSE NEW DISPLAYS looks so awful... i bet people will hate em for 10000000% most digusting display design i ever seen in BMW. plus m3 even doesnt have normal lightning inside. u buy car for 80k-100k fully bold... Hope soon bmw will have oponents what beat em in alll ways because what they started to do with clients is way to much.
