They're too reluctant to sell him and they're trying to do everything in their power to keep their most valuable player, but the cost is losing him on a free in 12 months time and if Tottenham know that Harry Kane isn't signing a new contract with them, get some money out of him now rather than letting him run down his contract and getting nothing out of him when he leaves on a free.

For both parties selling Kylian Mbappe makes perfect sense. The player won't stay at PSG beyond the summer of 2024 and he informed them that he won't trigger the option to renew his contract with the club for an extra year and after those news have been leaked to the media, the club has made it clear that he has a deadline to sign a new contract, if not he's getting sold this summer. There's a lot of dross Manchester United had to get rid starting with Maguire and McTominay. Those two players proved for many years why they don't belong at a big club. If they were Liverpool, City and Bayern Munich players, they would been gone along time ago. For Chelsea, to keep balancing the books, some players have to leave like Ziyech, Aubameyang and Hudson Odoi. Laporte is a top quality player but no longer needed for City. How will Manchester United even be able to offload a player like Harry Maguire. He's not getting any game time next season we know that and when he isn't gonna play and the EUROs is next year, what's the point in sticking around rotting on the bench with your huge salary, and then lack match fitness and sharpness going into the EUROs for England. For both parties, he has to go, if they like Manchester United can terminate his contract because if he's off their books, they'll reduce their wage bill, but for them selling him is a better option in order to raise funds and they need the money especially if they are to fix the striker problem. The player should also consider a change in his career, when the manger doesn't want to play you/keep you, he hasn't been accepted by the fans due to his lackluster performance and proneness to errors, he needs regular football if he is to keep his place in the England squad and be aware that he needs a step down in his career. Ferran Torres' time at Barcelona has been woeful to say the least. Despite winning La Liga last year, he was on the fringes of the team all of last season and even when he's been on the pitch in a Barcelona shirt, he's hardly had a consistent run of form and the fans of Barcelona have become impatient and want him out after consistently underperforming for the club. They'll get good money out of him and as for Ferran Torres, leaving Barcelona makes better sense if a decent team can pick him up and help him find his best form because Barcelona don't seem to count on him very much and they've grown frustrated with his performances over the last 12 months and they have to offload him right now if he's unwanted at the club both Xavi and the fans.
