Luis Mendozza i mean dude, i just watched this video he did about clones -- fragrance houses ripping off other houses, disgruntled perfumers, corporate intrigue... i was mesmerized. it was legit one of the most interesting things i've ever seen in my life.

@@KruBear Le Male Le Parfum is the most overhyped scent of the past. Yesterday I got my first bottle, which was a total disappointment. might be the lack of maturation since it was produced 1 month and 20 days ago. I am hoping it gets better with maceration. 10 sprays are needed to smell something, and after 4 to 5 hours it's not even a skin scent anymore.

i prefer vintage but my 2020 bottle does exactly the same for me as the older ones as far as others opinions

I’ve worn Fahrenheit off and on for more than 30 years and my latest bottle is a year old (or so) and is great.

Actually, terrible post reformulations 》》 notice the plural term. My bottle from 6 months ago ( batch number on the bottom of bottle reads 8L01 ) horrible in longevity and sillage.

Yeah, I had it back in 2007 and bought another bottle this year. I’m 38 now and feel like my sense of smell weakened but still like the current version

Looks like he has Fahrenheit Parfum and not EdT. Considering that FA forbade us to buy Viking Cologne based more on its extraordinary cost rather than the scent itself, I don't think Fahrenheit EdT would provoke his ire.

Hope you’re right I just bought a new Fahrenheit batch code 1C01 (Production March 2021) Do perfumes get stronger after a few years? btw I’m new to the fragrance world so have no clue how it works

@@astagg5840 Should be ok. I find that perfumes *can* (ymmv) get stronger once you start using them. Fahrenheit isn’t going to be as strong as it was back pre-2012 or so. I find the scent profile of the current batch to be excellent, though. If you aren’t happy with it, let it sit for a couple of months and then go back to it. Keep in mind that our minds (and noses) are tricky: you think the scent is gone, and then a few hours later someone notices it on you, or you start getting some nice wafts from it.

Fahrenheit still smells good. I smelled it on somebody a couple years ago and had to buy a bottle.

sometimes reformulating is due to those FRA recommendations or whatever (i.e. they discover something causes cancer like oakmoss, or they see that something in high enough concentrations can cause people to have asthma attacks or something, so they lower it to "Safe" levels). sometimes reformulating means that the sources of some ingredients change and that changes the smell. but yea, i think most times it is a money thing and they just "water it down" (by adding a higher proportion of perfumers alcohol than fragrant oils)

@@DemonsCrest1 some reformuations also happens so that they can sell a flanker like bleu de chanel edp, versace eros edp, etc..they purposefully weaken frags & not tell consumers about it but still sell it at the same price..reformulation can be accepted if they come with a leaser price tag compared to the og formulation..

I look for vintage perfumes, there are still some left. Scents that I would never look at before, for example Ciara by Revlon or Ulric de Varens Varensia. But they are cheap, powerful and long lasting. How long they will be on the market I don't know, so I catch the opportunity. Once they're gone, they'll cost a lot. I regret not buying Masumi before it vanished, maybe it'll come back one day, reformulated and very expensive, it wouldn't surprise me.

fahrenheit parfum is basically a completely different fragrance than fahrenheit edt.

My Fahrenheit from 6 months ago is absolutely horrible. Terrible longevity and sillage. Its the EDT. Batch number 8L01. Unbelievable
