Frederique, I love your elegant sense of style and your vivacious personality! When I was younger, i thought if one cannot be young, be elegant! With that in mind, I try to wear many of the kinds of things you love. For example, white jeans. I discovered that in winter, I could buy off-white corduroy "jeggings" (skinny jeans) where I buy wardrobe "basics", (Talbots), and where I can always trust the fit as they offer petite sizes. Their frequent and generous promotions delight me. I like your tendency to prefer "solids" and only discreet prints, and I bought a trench coat this year. Black is not good on me, but navy sure is! There may be some style mistakes (puffy coat & jacket )in my closet, but they were bought for their luscious colors and warmth in Chicago winters. Boots and ankle boots are great, even in a lower-heel version. You inspire me to sometimes take things a bit farther with jewelry, bags, scarves. Frederique, please keep up the good work, elegant, classy, fun lady! Continue to take joy in your clothes, which are the expressions of yourself, and in life in general.

Yes, more timeless classics, please. I often re-dye cotton items that have become faded, if carefully done, they look brand new again. One thing I do to keep them dark: cold water wash with Perwoll Renew (Amazon), in half the regular amount. Minimizing the use of a tumble dryer helps, too, the friction makes the color rub off.

I'm loving all the fashions - mostly looks like my style you're showcasing except I've never owned a camel shade of jacket - yet . A year ago I bought a white glass bead necklace with some silver bits in it similar looking to yours . I couldn't believe how good it looks with mostly everything . Nothing beats the white collared shirt - so versatile !

Absolutely love pearls and jeans , I wore that back in the day and til this day. I’m not a big belt person either, I’ve been fortunate to find excellent ones at thrift stores. Not big on lace bras, bust line a bit mush for that. I live in Florida, light weight dusters or long kimono is a staple in my wardrobe. Linen and cotton wide legs in white and black also a staple in my closet , in Florida the heat is unbearable, for me. Love dresses for the summer.
