I love this list because it talks more about games that don't often get talked even though they should. Please do more lists like this

Heroes of Might and Magic 3. That game is more than 2 decades old and it still is loads of fun to play. The fact that the fandom is still incredibly active and even making full blown expansions to the game, on top of it being a repeat top seller on GOG is just a further testament to the games immense staying power. Neverwinter Nights is another one that is still going strong thanks to an active modding scene.

I still love to see people break the systems in MGS V. Such an awesome sandbox.

Just started my 7th Cyberpunk 2077 save

I started playing Skyrim the day it dropped and I'm still playing Skyrim. Vampire Survivors is so simple and so deep at the same time. The first time you survive the full 30 min is truly a great feeling.

No man’s sky deserves a mention for sure! So many planets and galaxies to explore and so many ways to do it. Even the base building system alone and little cities are enthralling

I've played the Arkham games over and over again. Truly timeless games.

I think Civilization deserves mentioning, because they're very addicting and can be played infinitely. That one guy has been playing the same scenario of Civ 2 for over 10 years now

I'm so glad to see Deep Rock Galactic on this list. I've spent so much time in that game and I recommend it for anybody who thinks it sounds at all interesting. I've mostly played solo but the Discord community for it is really active.

Rimworld deserves its spot at #1, with mods the replayability it into the thousands of hours easily, I've sunk probably at least 7k hours into it since I started playing in Early Alpha 8 back over a decade ago and it's still one of those games I always have installed on any computer I use.

I’d like to throw my hat in for Civ 6. Insane amounts of map types, sizes, game modes, and leaders that lead to a different experience with every game. This is still my go to game when me and my friends can’t decide what to play together or just wanna hang out and play something casual. Perfect balance between mentally engaging and relaxing. Or you can crank the difficulty up and give yourself a challenge! So much to do in civ!

Alternative title: Games to Avoid if you Want to Get Stuff Done

My personal favorite is FTL: Faster than Light. Its essentially been the only game i keep coming back to since it's original release. Multiverse mod is also a solid pick to add more variety to the base game and to mix things up with so many ships and unlocks.

Would throw in Slay the Spire as well. That is an insanely fun and addicting card based roguelite.

I want to add couple of more and I am surprised you didn't mention these: 1. Hades: every run is randomised, every rooms reward changes every run. So your build changes in every run and it is quite fun. 2. Elden Ring: there are hundreds of different weapons in elden ring and every weapon drastically changes the gameplay. And also there are a lot of different weapon arts to combine. 3. Baldur's Gate 3: You can do ultimate role playing in this game. For example I made Geralt of Rivia, for my second playthrough I am planning to create Galadriel from Lord of the Rings. It gives you the opportunity to become whoever you want. Either yourself or those fantasy fiction characters.

Great list and would love to see more videos with this topic. Borderlands, Factorio, Left4Dead2 would be great additions.

I'm giving a shout out to the Mass Effect Trilogy. The sheer amount of content and extremely specific plot tree dialogue alone is enough to keep you changing it up every single time but the characters, my god.. the story, the emotion, the heartache, the excitement. Go, go play it again

Great list and great vid! I've sunk my time in some of the classics like Skyrim, but lately it's been Monster Hunter World for me. I'm mostly a solo hunter but with the resurgence in players it's been wicked fun joining hunts with others and responding to SOS's. That remains one of my favorite systems in the game. It's a wholesome feeling when someone rushes in to help you bonk a monster, and passing it along when you do the same.

It's almost as if they went through my Steam library and made a video off of what they found. I love it! Everything on this list is gold

Been playing Skyrim since 2012. Have about 1000 hours in it (rookie numbers, I know). This morning I found a Nordic ruin with a dragon wall I have never seen before

Returnal is my addiction. Perfect "just one more run" game, even well into new game +. amazing 3rd person shooter with great movement.

New Vegas deserves a spot on this list. You can replay it over and over and it's always fun and you ca get different outcomes.

After thousands of hours in Factorio, I can firmly say that I need more iron before I log off. So many times do I play just a few hours in a session only to realize the sun is up and Ive lost 15 hours in what felt like 5. The Factory must grow.

This is a great subject, I'm always on the lookout for games like these. I'm sure there's more of them out there. Here's hoping for another episode of infinitely replayable (but not games as service) top games!

Dark Souls/Elden Ring are the only games I’ve ever been able to replay endlessly

Dead Cells is absolutely one of the most replayable games. I've spent 300+ hours on it and a run only lasts 50 minutes. It is so much fun and so much new content consistently.

Seeing Risk of Rain 2, Deep Rock Galactic, and Dead Cells somehow fills me with a tingling happiness. But if Minecraft deserve a mention, then Terraria also deserve a shout.

Soulsborne series is my pick , I love trying out different builds , doing challenge runs & coop can be absolutely hilarious. PvP is fun aswell.

Don't Starve Together & Project Zomboid I would add to that list (DST on gamepad is a must). Very good list btw - love most of those games and I'm curious to try some others. Replayable games (non-service type) that are still updated with new content are the best example of amazing customer support - love the devs that do that. Thanks for the video!

Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is my go-to eternal game. Tons of content in the Complete version, plenty of custom maps outside the campaigns, and there's a map editor.

Personal choice for me would have to be inscryption. Love the deck building and card battles combined with a spooky swamp like atmosphere. Every playthrough your deck will be different from before.

Ah thank God you guys included Rimworld! In the number 1 spot too I was watching the video and if there was no Rimworld I was literally preparing to write you guys a very strongly worded letter haha. But definitely the best choice for number 1 hands-down.

Deadcells really surprised me. I just tried the game on Gamepass out of curiousity and I never thought I would like it. I’m not even heavy into metroidvania games but this one’s just purely addictive

Iv spent almost 16 years in skate 1. The feel and feedback of every move you make in that game makes you feel like you are really on the board and really doing every trick. The weight and impact of the pops landing and grinding is unreal. None of the sequels came close to the feeling of the first in my opinion so I don't have much hope for skate 4 if it releases sadly. There are a lot of other games that come to mind as well but I am just always so impressed with skate 1 every time I jump in.

I keep playing RDR2 as John, just roaming around, giving John the coolest drip and I keep seeing new things still even after all this time, which is insane.

Excellent, excellent list, Stellaris, Monster Hunter World, and Rimworld are in my top 10 all time favs. Deep rock, Dead cells, and Hitman I've also invested many hours into.

Factorio and it's overhaul mods also provide an insane amount of replaying opportunity

I think what makes both risk of rain games good is the difficulty anytime you actually finish a run it feels great especially on monsoon

Great video. Most of these games I already had but haven't played in awhile. After attempting to play it a few times on various platforms, I finally started to get into "Dysmantle", by 10tons Ltd, on Steam. I bought the Pets DLC off the bat, and then around 20 hours in I picked up the other two. I'm now 32.2 hours in and I've barely scratched the surface, if the main map is anything to go by. I don't know if it will be infinitely playable, but I'm not paying anything else of note at the moment.

I may get some pushbacks from this, but The Sims 4. Yes there is a fine limit of material in the base game, but when you add all the Mods, the add-ins, the game packs, etc. You can endlessly replay it

Put 1300 hours into MHW the first time. Before Icebourne. Just got on the other day with Icebourne. 30 more hours over the weekend. I love this game.

State of decay 2. Especially when you play on lethal difficulty. Lots of unexpected things happen makes you feel different emotions like the morale status. Now that they have curveball update just to screw you more. Even abandoned cars are your only friend.

moster hunter world stills hits hard!

My bread & butter is Cities Skylines. After 8 years of playing it I still learn something new after each city build.

Of all the games in my steam list, rimworld is #1 for most hours played. Definitely my favourite game, next to satisfactory

My two: Terraria, and The Sims 2 (because it's the one with the most extensive modding, and I like being able to choose whether I want to play a medieval world or a post-apocalyptic one or an alien planet with just the replacement of a single, highly-curated "Downloads" folder).

Love all your content and Ik there are probably a ton of games that could be on this list, but just want to mention one more than comes to my mind: No Man's Sky ......with the infinite procedurally generated worlds and Hello Games always doing free updates and new content being added to it, to me, it just never gets boring...............always something to do!! -just my 2 cents worth, Bob

Deep Rock Galactic is absolute perfect. Even if you fail a mission, the players will not rage quit, they just try again, plus they are very friendly, that is probably one of the coolest thing of that game. Also that game can be pretty hard, especially in the long run missions. It was a game that I found randomly, and it is to me, one the best games I ever play for cop-op or multiplayer game.

Currently a Monster Hunter World Iceborne veteran at level MR999 and over 3300 hours on my playthrough. (Solo) playing the hardest fights like Fatalis, Alatreon and AT Velkhana just for fun And STILL not sick of the game Especially playing it with my friends Yes its that good!

The game I probably go back to most to in a year is Minecraft, my main survival world was started on Xbox 360 in 2013. It's fun to add to your world and see where you came from in your older builds. Other than that I replay the entire Elder Scrolls series every other year, from Arena to Skyrim, I've started playing Elder Scrolls in 1998 and it has a very special place in my heart.

Remnant 2 got alot of stuff to do with all the random generation it's pretty fun :)

Dead Cells is awesome, I agree. They even have an Android version with controller support.

For me it's Sifu because the amount of mods there are and how robust the Replay Editor is. You can take almost any character from any other game, port them into Sifu, and make martial arts films with them. I've made so many Sifu Short Films on my channel and it has inspired me to fall in love with martial arts films, learn cinematography, and even bolster my film scoring skills.

i am very surprised to see Dwarf Fortress is not in this list taken in account how old it is, and how much money it brought to the brothers who made it, basically over night, therefore showing how much people loved the game.

After over 900 hours, i can tell u every play through is different and has endless possibility's. Seeing battlebrothers is great to, i only have approx 300 hours in that game, but still so much fun to come back to and play when im feeling like running a medieval fantast mercenary gang

Falcon please, you forgot Kenshi! It is a crime to not mention it. This is the biggest time sync on games that I ever saw. It's like a time machine. You start playing and suddenly, you lost 4 hours. :p

Star Wats Kotor is something I just started playing for the first time and can already see the endless possibilities for character building!

7 Days To Die must be the game I’ve got most bang for the bucks. I got persuaded by a friend when I got home drunk, payed €5 and I ended up playing 400 hours on it. Wasn’t especially impressed at the start but the loads of mods made it awesome! Usually don’t push that many hours into the same game.

For me, recently it's been Monster Train. Basically, it's Slay The Soire meets Dungeon Keeper. And just when you think you've done everything there is, you get another Covenant Rank and get a bunch more stuff added.

Can’t seem to get enough of Fable 😆 I’ve beat that game well over 5-6 times and still manage to come back to it every so often.

It blows my mind to see so many of my friends play the same game nonstop for years 😅. No matter how much I love a game, no amount of content will keep me playing forever. The closest is games. I'll play for a bit in a rotation

Terraria is 100% replayable for me. You can have multiple playthroughs using different classes just in the base game. Once you start up the tmodloader, then you can wave goodbye to your life. Combining mods like Calamity, Thorium, Fargo's mod would have you glued to the game for days.

This is funny timing cause I just started my 7th Witcher 3 playthrough. It's not on this list but I think it's an honorable mention. So much content, immersion, choices, and ways to play. My #1 game of all time if I had to pick one

Solid list, I'd Def like to throw in a couple that have similar vibes to the ones already mentioned. Civ V or VI up there with stelarus - I have lost weeks of my life to this game Payday 2 alongside Deep Rock - 13 years worth of content updates and more build variety then you'd expect in a hoard shooter. Plus the fact that most maps have either a stealth or loud option basically doubles the maps

Shadow of War and the Nemesis system are addicting as hell and have infinite potential stories you can create by your own. Plus the online conquests are pretty fun aswell

The Sims (whichever version you prefer) gives you so much building and playing options. Especially with all the expansion packs out there.

Earth Defense Force series(4, 5 and 6) are hidden gems that not many people know about due to having no marketing, but one of the best replayable 4-player coop game series ever made. There're insects the size of a car, aliens the size of a building, freaking godzillas, and UFO the size of a city. And you fight them with guns, explosives, laser weapon, air strikes, satellite lasers, all kinds of vehicles and exoskeletons. Each series around 100 levels with each mission ranging between 10 minutes to near an hour, 4 different classes, 5 difficulties, with each difficulty unlockes different weapon and different enemy mutation and spawns, even story dialog details change along with them. Each EDF game can easily get hundreds or even over a thousand hour without feeling tired

OG DOOM would fit this list, TONS of MODs every time. Some just modify the base game other completely change the way you play, you can even combine MODs to your heart's content. Love the video.

It highly depends on your taste in games, most of these games include mainly combat. If you are willing to go for something else, Tetris Effect: Connected also does have a lot of replayability due to the community weekend events and also you can always aim for a higher score, duh. And since there are lots of different game modes, it doesn't get boring in one hour.

I don't think I've been able to play the same game weeks on end for a decade now. I miss WoW being fun:'(

The games I go back to are Fallout 4, Horizon Forbidden West/Burning Shores, and Mass Effect Trilogy. I go back to revisit favorite characters, wander off and explore and find new things, or just to remind myself how much I love living in those worlds.

tarkov, ark, conan: exiles, ready or not, snowrunner, mudrunner, minecraft, eco, vintage story, terraria, stardew valley, V-rising, rust, witcher series, fallout series, elder scrolls series, cs series, r6s, euro truck, magicka 1 and 2, scum, dayz, arma, squad, battlebit, space engineers, hell let loose, total war series, civ series, warcraft 3, starcraft 2, endless space 1 and 2, victoria 3, hearts of iron 4, europa universalis 4, crusader kings 3, project zomboid, rdr2, mount and blade series, dont starve together, helldivers a few titles u left out (games that fit this title are all RTS, grand strategy, simulator, survival, online pvp shooter titles in general not to mention fighter games)

I know Lethal Company is really new and not nearly as complex or diverse in the level design as the games mentioned here, but that game is fire! Is ridiculously fun with a couple of friends or even more with just a couple of mods on top. I already sank about 100 hours and I just play during the weekends with the boys. Mod community is just starting but growing steadily. I really hope devs keep supporting the game for a long time because they struck gold with this one.

I would also add Sea of Thieves to this list. Lots of adventures and great world building.

My latest one that I keep coming back to is Neon White. Bought it a couple weeks ago and already have about 30 hours in it. Hades is one I come back to a lot as well but I guess that's part of the charm with rougelikes.
