There is no scientific evidence of benefits using multivitamin integrators in a “normal” person healthy person, this thinks should be taken only under medical advice. If you are okay they are for sure a waste of money because you simply pees them 😅 A cold shower can be dangerous for people with cardiac problems. To learn about evidence based medicine I would like to suggest everybody to red the book “Trick or treatment“. It’s very mind opener.

I just saw a video by Jocko Willink. If you don't know him, he is an enormous ex-Navy Seal Brazilian Jui Jitsu doing fitness doing motivational speaker doing hyper physically competent person. He says that running away is the best first response to troubles on the street. This is a guy that could beat almost anyone.

Thanks for all the thought you put into this. As the years go by, I appreciate more and more the quality of your content. It's readily apparent that you are in it for more than just clicks. More power to you. It's hard not to see the internet as a hugely destructive presence in the world, but then there are creative, genuine, helpful things being shared also. Thanks for being a part of that.

17:45 Justin, you have been such a source of inspiration for me over the years, but I must say this might be the number one video you have produced, in terms of really having a positive effect on my life. It hasn't been all that long since you started to "dabble" in videos that were not strictly about playing guitar (as great as they are), so I would like to encourage you to continue with these "go beyond guitar" videos. In particular "Tip 8 - Think About Life", in my opinion, is the most profound of the tips you have presented here today. That (again in my opinion) is the key to what you are getting at in this video. Thank you so much for your sincere insights, not just here but also in all of your videos. Wishing you and those close to you all the best for the new year...and thank you, once again. 🙏

7:08 I did boxing/kickboxing for 2 years and it honestly became one of my favourite activities I've ever done. The "art" side of martial arts is amazing. And learning how to perform an action, like punching, in a way that uses not just your arm but your entire body is a skill that I still use today even when doing non-boxing related activities.

I've been following you since 2006 and learned a lot about guitar from you. I teach high school and my student is learning guitar and I asked him which youtubers he follows and he follows you. You're responsible for teaching several generations of guitarists. Now I'm at a low point in my life and this video gave me the nudge I needed to make some healthier choices. Thanks Justin for all you do. You said you weren't sure about making this video, but this was exactly what I needed.

This was great to listen to while restringing my guitar! I've always had the impression that Justin is a great teacher, and I think here it's not just because he's good at guitar, but also because he genuinely cares about other people. Hearing his story and how he's learned to take great care of himself shows he's just as experienced with self care as he is with music. Thanks for always sharing this sort of non-guitar stuff with us, it's what really makes me enjoy your channel and site more than anybody else. Have a wonderful safe holiday season :)

Thanks a lot for sharing these tips Justin, I really appreciate it. I feel like things go in waves for me sometimes when it comes to taking care of myself (mentally, health wise, etc). Wish you and your family a wonderful year too, Justin, nice to hear someone like you sharing 10 points to get to a better life. I definitely should upgrade my physical exercise levels again, but as I started learning to play the guitar from you (for almost 4 yrs now), and it's really becoming an important aspect of my daily life, I've spent less time on sports etc. than I did before. I'll have to think a bit how to solve my dilemma, but the direction is clear. Thanks for all the guitar stuff, and for your enthusiasm sharing all this online!

Thank you Justin for sharing this with us. I've been struggling a bit recently with my mental and physical health (laziness being a big reason) but it didn't used to be like that. In the past I had actually been doing a few of the things you recommended and they had a positive impact, however, the key here is that I wasn't applying them consistently - only a bit here and there. I will return to doing regular meditation and the cold showers as both those things have really helped me in the past. Once I have that down, the next step is to get back into a form of regular physical exercise - nothing crazy, but something that is manageable and regular. I have heard about stoicism as a philosophy in the past but never done any research on it regarding applying it in your life. This is something new that sounds interesting and will check out. Wow, this really motivated me. Thanks again Justin and happy new year! :)

Great ideas for a vibrant life, Justin. Good to see Ziggy make an appearance! I am not responsible enough to have pets (lol), but I volunteer four to five days a week at my local animal shelter walking and caring for doggos. 🐕I get my night-owl butt out of bed at 6:15am to get to the shelter by 7:30am. 🤤The dogs need love and care every day including weekends and holidays. When weather allows, I ride my bike, adding even more outside activity and happiness. The job expands my heart and works my body, and I know I'm contributing to helping doggos become more adoptable and find them furever homes. 🥰 To this list, I'd add treating yourself to the best quality food and way of eating that you possibly can. I am so grateful and proud of myself for having lost nearly 80 pounds in the last year by improving my diet and getting more active. It feels great! AND! Skinny me can more comfortably hold my guitar and play for hours and hours without tiring. 💪 For anyone who would enjoy a labor of love with animals, including lots of activity and exercise, look into volunteering at your local animal shelter 💓 p.s. Humane Society offices in the USA are a great resource, but do check the municipal shelters, too; they are often badly understaffed and underfunded, and tend to be the most desperately in need of volunteers.
