What I also love about Sigrun’s fight is the gradual buildup to it with each Valkyrie you defeat, specifically via Mimir’s stories regarding them. If you listen to them, like I did, then the cutscene after defeating Sigrun would make your victory feel even more satisfying.

i beat her and i dont think she's THAT difficult, for example i find godrey horah loux a bit harder, the thing is she has waterfowl dance and that can be random (no set up to dodge) and her second phase is just cheap on half her attacks i still think she's one of the best bosses ever period (still behind radagon), but again, i think her difficulty is being a bit blown out of proportion. at least in my opinion. i had a blast fighting her

@@yurilopes420 So you probably had a cheese build like Rivers of Blood? :) Or maybe different players' playstyles, I don't know. I on the other hand didn't have much problems with Godfrey Horah Loux, but Malenia gave me tons of pain and suffering. Then I cheese'd her with Rivers of Blood and it turned out to be overly easy. I felt bad. But on my second playthrough I did her fair play (after a loooooong while with so many attempts)

as someone who has 1000s of hours in Souls games, I got my ass kicked by Margit too. He is just so different from any other boss from software has ever created. He gives u no window between combos if u stick close and dodge around. The delay attacks make Nameless King look like a kid. From Soft is the best in the business and they keep proving it time to time.

Fatalis from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion is my personal favourite jumping out of the chair moment. He was added as the final monster in an update, and he is no joke. Straight up rinses players in flames over and over and over again. Me and my brother had to plan the hunt, use the environment, make dedicated sets that balance offense & defense, and still we would keep on struggling, so when it went down, the quets completion music blared, we jumped out of our seats and shouted. It is so rewarding to see the thing go down.

Isshin is the epitome of boss fights. Sekiro is the first game to truly give me that feeling of having started at a nothing nobody vagrant riff raff who over the course of the game slowly honed his skills and became a MASTER Shinobi. Even after progressing through the entire rest of the game, there were no tricks or gimmicks that were gonna get me through Isshin quickly and easily. After five days of countless hour sessions at a time, it was only once I stopped trying so hard and conveniently reached a sort of, “zen state” that I realized mid battle how close I was to beating him that attempt… and inevitably did! I came home from Christmas dinner in a food daze ready to just chill and have a million more goes at him just for shiggles. Little did I know, it was fated to only be about 2-3 goes that night. My first fromsoft experience was completed with the most memorable of battles and journeys to ever grace my tv screen and more importantly… my mind. Sekiro and it’s combat will be carved into the ether as one the all time greats!

@@floodgaming1846 the only way is to memorize the attack pattern.. I played Hollow Knigth back in 2020, and as I remember, it took me around 3hours to finally beat him... 😅 the battle and the music is super fun, so 3 hours is not that bad.. Path of Pain is way worse~ and even after all that, I only manage to beat Pantheon of the Knight.. Can't beat Pantheon Of Hollownest, real life stuff don't allow me to commit fully for the game, so I stoped there.. no shame at all~

Honorable Mention: Terramorphous from Borderlands 2. Yeah he's a raid boss, but everybody gets to a point where they want to take him one on one. That solo victory over him is definitely satisfying.

The greatest victory cry after a boss for me is not my own. I was progging on Lady Vashj And when we finally got her after hours and hours of attempts, one guildie yelled out with vent open," MOM! VICTORY SANDWICH!" Great times.

I'm not a big fan of boss fights, but the ones in Metroid Dread rly took me on a journey. I got angry when I died to the first half of them, but i learned and appreciated the second half of them, getting pumped when i beat them. It rly changed my perspective on boss fights.

Gameranx team… I love your videos, especially your top tens! Just want to make one tiny suggestion. You know that meme of someone’s monitor blasting their face with a flash bang in CSGO? That’s what your title cards are doing to me 😂. At each countdown while laying in bed, my wife wakes up and gives me an earful. If you were to get darker title cards, I’m sure many of us dudes watching your vids in bed will thank you for it! Keep up the great stuff!

Definitely a good example of a hard boss is the Pure Vessel from Hollow Knight, more specifically, the Pantheon of the Knight. If you don’t know what it is, it’s the boss rush that is filled with incredibly hard bosses in the game. The boss by itself is incredibly tricky to learn how to beat. Just beating it in practice mode felt really good. I heard that Absolute Radiance in the Pantheon of Hollownest was harder but I felt done with the game after I had my last victory.

I think there's two bosses that really stick with me overall. First one, I'd say Red in GSC and HGSS. For me, I hate grinding, so most of the gyms and the Pokemon League I ended up at with pokemon at a similar level to theirs (usually). But with Red, I was severely underleveled after making my way towards him almost as soon as I was able to. And while his team isn't "perfect counter to everything" kind of thing, it still poses a good challenge and was difficult for me and my lower leveled 'mons to break through. The second one, I wouldn't necessarily call "hard" (at least not on the normal difficulty), but beating Heimdall's ass in God of War Ragnarok felt incredibly satisfying. That dude was the most narcissistic, egotistical, self-centered sonovatog I've ever encountered, and seeing him react to actually get hurt before taking him out just felt so damn good. Sucker got what he deserved, and I think even that was too kind for him.

For me it's a close battle between Malenia in Elden Ring and Isshin in Sekiro. I'd put the edge on Malenia because even with all the help the game gives you, it is still the most difficult boss in Souls history. Honorable mention to Ornstein and Smough in DS1, too.

The boss fight against Inner Agent 3 in the Octo Expansion DLC for Splatoon 2 made me cry tears of joy when I finally beat them. It took me months to beat Inner Agent 3 and I did it, it's even harder than the secret level in the Splatoon 3 story mode because at least with that one in only took me weeks to complete as oppose to months.
