I also think that there is a chance he was slightly super soldiery BEFORE the weapon X program. I mean, at least in the cinematic versions of him. In wolverine origins( IKIK) Wade pretty much Deadpooled an entire room. That leads me to believe that he had some sort of enhancement, or ability at THAT poin.

Wade was born in Canada, and he was also born a mutant with superhuman dexterity, strength, and stamina. These only enhanced when he was, well enhanced with Logan's regenerative abilities. I believe he was also once worthy of wielding Mjolnir, but that may have been Loki playing games. Wade also has his own infinity stone, it is pink, it is the ability to see outside the fourth wall I believe, and the stone belongs to him strictly.
