Hi I’m in the DC area too and want to transition from corporate recruiting to corporate sustainability. I was looking into a Graduate certificate from Harvard. Is it worth the investment?

Great question! Only you can make that decision for yourself, but it might be a good idea to consider a few things. First, what is the average salary at your level in corporate sustainability? How long would it take you to pay off any loans? Second, are there other programs, or even classes at your community college, that you could start with? Those may be more affordable and get you the same experience you need. Third, I recommend finding corporate sustainability jobs you're interested and reaching out to people who work at those companies in similar roles. In those informational interviews, ask them what skills and experience they needed. Ultimately, I wouldn't rule out your other options quite yet, but Harvard's graduate certificate in sustainability is one of the best!
