I’m a nurse and work many 12 hours shifts in a row. The stressors of seeing many of my patients die and the long work hours and lack of sleep as taken a toll on my health. I found this video and is has helped me tremendously get the much need sleep on my days off, so that I am alert and refreshed to get back to taking care of my patients. Thank you so much.

This was my nightly sound 40 years ago, before the internet, living in a 17’ travel trailer. I had no money, a minimum wage job, but I had my dog and the sound of the rain. Life was hard back then, but it was simple. Thanks so much for posting this. ❤️

Life couldn’t get any better than today and I am so grateful 😇 and since I found this magical sound from nature I sleep so easily with beautiful dreams. I love ❤️ rain ☔️ on my skin too I am an addict. Send me out under a hot 🥵 sunny ☀️ day I will have trouble getting there but please send me out under heavy rain 🌧 I will go with no umbrella ☔️ I even get inspiration from rain when writing ✍️ it’s powerful for me it’s liberates my soul. I have suffered for a long time from extreme anxiety and other mental issues that made it hard to sleep. On average i got around 2 hours of sleep a night and would crash through the day. I started to listen to this however and it really helps. I can sleep faster and easier and it helps my mind stay distracted from paranoia and bad thoughts while i try to fall asleep. Because its getting easier to sleep slowly im recovering. I get at least 6 hours of sleep a night now im so happy!

I’ve had Insomnia, night terrors, and exploding head syndrome all my life… it’s Awful. Sleep always felt like torture as opposed to something to look forward to.. But meditation, ambient noise like this, magnesium and melatonin have really helped me find peace. Still get night terrors, but not nearly as often. Just remember, you’re not alone out there. 💤

I searched so hard for the right sounds to help me sleep after I lost my husband. This one actually helps. Just soothing rain that doesn't sound like a sizzling steak, no thunder to enter my dreams as gunfire, no startling sounds of any kind. Thank you for doing this. I love it!

Jan, I feel the same way. Since the passing of my wife 16 months ago, I have tried everything from sleeping pills to cognitive methods to ease my mind and get the sleep I need. But this sound image is what I tend to return to.

I am very sensitive to certain sounds and frequencies. Despite all the nice rain sounds on here this one seems to fit the best. There's very little popping of raindrops which sound like a facet more than real rain with others which over do it.. The others sound more like white noise or hissing sounds. And the ones with thunder seem to overpower the rain in general and startle you rather than make you feel comfortable.

Fun fact, A lot of people just record the popping sound of cooking bacon and label it "rain noise" So, the extra popping you hear may be greasy bacon and not rain.

This is by far is the best rain sound I've tried and I've tried a few. It even gives me the cold feeling and goosebumps I get when I hear the real thing. I dont suffer from insomnia but I always love the feeling of falling asleep to rain.

I always used to love rain,but 5 months ago,the rain stack in my mind so deeply,all of my friends when they see rain out of the window,they call me to watch it, everyone knows how much I start to love rain....i don't know why but i guess there's a missing piece of myself and i think rain make it feel better,thank you for that video, it's whatever I wanted ❤️🙏god bless you 🙏❤️

Like an old friend who whose soothing voice will wash over your anxiety and calm your soul. A friend whose familiar, gentle, pitter patter can reach you and calm your aching heart. A friend who will never leave you, who was there for you in your past and is a constant in your life. A friend who will never leave you and will be there for you gently caressing your eardrums until you feel calm enough to rest or fall asleep. That friend for me is the rain. Thank you for this. Sometimes I just completely turn off all media aside from making my KZfaq videos for this channel, and I feel quite a bit more peaceful more. I had a really bad time going to sleep and staying asleep lately, because I had a hard breakup. During the first weeks, I cried myself to sleep every Night. Then I had a long period of problems with panic attacks. After all I started getting random outbursts of anger because I had nightmares about the breakup. Hearing this every night gave me some kind of light at the end of the tunnel. It helped me to relax and gave me the realization healing needs it's time and it's okay.

I’m really sorry for what you are going through, but you are wise in understanding that healing does take time and goes through stages. Gradually it gets better but we have to go through it we can’t go around it. I’m so glad this has been some comfort for you, the rain is so simple but it is quite comforting and helps to soften our thoughts

FINALLY! A rain sound that doesn't have random bouts of thunder and the random louder/higher pitched rain drops!! This is uniform and blends together as background noise while I'm trying to fall asleep! I use it to block out my partner's snoring and to keep my dog from barking at random noises while I'm trying to sleep 😅

I read somewhere that the reason most people like rain noise harks back to the beginnings of humanity when we where hunted by predators apparently these predators(such as sabretooth tigers) didn’t like hunting in the rain for some reason and us humans knew this so when it rained we would feel a lot more at ease and safe knowing that we weren’t going to get eaten, this feeling is now hard wired into us, makes sense doesn’t it..
