the in-game camera and it's relation to spider-man has been beautifully expanded by the developers. theyre really experimenting with his distance from the camera and his position in frame, even 'messing up' the shot where objects can appear in front of him - eg. the camera is so far back that if he goes fast enough round a corner he might be partially obscured by a building. reminds me of a video essay on conveying speed in video games. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m59_pcyquNewmoU.htmlsi=LCXD7U44pJ9sC2cz pretty sure it's this one

I started this game expecting to almost never want to use the web wings. By the time i was half way through i was constantly switching between the wings and regular swinging. Its insane how much better they make swinging, especially through areas like the parks.

Being able to play a game that authentically makes me swing like Spider-Man was the dream growing up. Most importantly in Spider-Man 2, I love how we can set the web assist on a 1-10 scale. I feel more realistic and fast at the same time, with a challenge. It's like I don't even beed Mods anymore! Thanks, Insomniac.

Being able to modify web assist is one of the best things about SM2. Turning it completely off is the true web swinging experience. I'm still trying to master it. Overall, the game gets an 8.5. Insomniac missed a few marks with the story side missions and your limited use of Venom.

Its just not a suitable sidequest in a Spider-Man game. Even then if it had story relevance it would be pretty okay. But it didn't. So.

I had swing assist at level 1 for a while, but moved it up to 2 because every time I did the loop, I would smash into a rooftop and die 😂. It doesn't happen as often, if at all, on level 2

I started playing the game yesterday and I loved the first game. I missed the DLCS and Miles moralis to play for myself. But after starting the game, it felt like home. The same great feeling like in the first game. Just the movement alone was worth it. And then you get a Triple A cinematic story on top.

From this perspective, I think that the fall damage system is way too harsh on some occasions: if Spidey jumps with the full charged jump and lands on the same spot, the player loses 5 HP.
