I never heard anyone say he went soft he has however narrowed his rants to fewer subjects. Shitting on white women is like 40% of his act now. I’ve followed bills career since the first time I saw him live 18 years ago and his wife’s insecurities have slowly bled into his act.

I like the new Burr. He’s more logical in explaining his position and thus is able to take on more controversial subjects. Still one of the funniest guys out there.

Just as one's taste in comedy is highly subjective, so is one's tolerance for anger? Lewis Black's and Sam Kinison's angry style didn't do much for me, but Bill Burr's style makes me laugh. As much as I respect Black and Kinison as comedians. Even Don Rickles came off as "angry" and annoyed to the core, but he could go on a roll that would tear me up. IMO the literalists, most often people who take every word so literally and every statement at face value, including today the Woke / PC crowd, don't see anger in any way constructive or comical as a means of expression. All right, if you can't even handle a Brian Regan, because he's "angry", then...maybe just listen to ol' Garrison Keillor.

It's also funny that the 'blokes' didn't ask them self what the ticket price were for a seat at the Women Euro final was and how many freebies that was delivered.

That's sad that they had to give the tickets away, but at the same time, I'm glad that they managed to fill the entire stadium! Imagine if they gave 50k to 60k tickets and 5000 people showed up in total!

Merchandise and concessions are where the banks at. Ticket sales have a much narrower profit margin. A full stadium with free tickets still does pretty well.

While i don't think people should get handouts willy nilly, certainly in America the country could do a lot more for people, for instance the federal minimum wage in America is $7.25. That made sense when it was put in place, but it hasn't been adjusted for inflation, people ARE being payed less than they should across the country. That $7.25 Adjusted for inflation, the federal minimum wage in the US should now be around $20, but people are being payed $10 and hour and expected to figure it out. America can absolutely afford at least giving people the money they deserve for the work they do. All this to say, while some people just don't want to work , those of us who DO at least deserve to work for a living wage.

Either you like sports or you don't. Most women don't give a shit about sports. They just like to pretend to care about things and they LOVE to champion other women who say wildly incorrect crap in support of women. For example, anything Megan Rapinoe says. Btw, the women who show up in the first 3 rows of NBA games don't count since NBA games, especially the great seats, are fashion shows and pre-funks for the club. And while I truly appreciate their efforts women's bball just is not good. Its sub boys high school basketball quality minus any real shot at seeing athleticism. Imagine being a fan of Formula 1 or NASCAR and being asked to give a shit about this crazy new racing league where all of the drivers failed drivers ed and the cars were limited to early 80's Chrysler products like the K-Car and the LeBaron. It might be because a lot of the time he doesn't do jokes. Many people watch him not to laugh, but to be confirmed of their views or whatever. The stuff he says is not that controversial as he makes it out to be though. He would not be so successful if it were. He is funny, but his style lost all appeal to me. I would contrast him with someone like Norm Macdonald, who always had an actual *Joke* in everything he said, and that was the most important thing to him.

No ones immune to criticism, and I think Bill Burr is beautifully aware of it. Though a balance of truth with a dash of exaggeration might be a good tool for *unwarranted* criticism. Like "I know what I said was wild when taken literally, but dial my dialogue down by 75%, and you'll find a lot more accurate truth or experience that I was working off of. Don't take my exaggeration to heart, only my source of material"
