2:25 i recently made a expression pre-set with custom controls that can diractly add in and out animations (all kinds of). But it's made by me so it's not cheating ig🤷♂️. I can complete all transitions of an edit within 1-2min with this. Gotta try this challenge for sure

1. For your motion tile not working you were changing the wrong value its the bottom 2/ 2. When you use motion tile precompse your clips without the motion tile then add motion tile to the precomposed video and like double click precomposed video and change the orginal video's scale to 102

No way that took you 5 hrs. Maybe another 3:30 of just staring at AE and then adding more fx. I could do ur 5 hrs edit in 20 mins, ur 1 hr edit in 10 mins, and ur 10 min edit in 30 secs
