The best blooper was when Harriet got plastic surgery and looked completely different in season 9. Like we wouldn’t notice!

And you know what? All these moments didn't ruin anything but actually made the show more lovable. Especially the genuine moments between the actors. A LOT of love and dedication went into the making of this show and it absolutely can be felt when you watch it. We were so incredibly lucky to have this show running for so long and having such an amazing cast and crew. The HD remaster of this show looks AMAZING and i'm so glad this is one of the last 90s TV shows that was shot entirely on 35mm Film.

My favorite blooper is when little Richie aged 4 years over the summer of 90 and how Judy went upstairs and spontaneously combusted and nobody noticed.

Breaking character, even bloopers can just be part of the show. Breaking the fourth wall, just a reminder not to take much seriously, just enjoy. Nostalgic show.

Not really a blooper but one of the best moments was when uncle Phil from the fresh prince came to the show. Carl couldn't believe it

That's one of the things I love about sitcoms. The acting is so spontaneous that anything can happen. I also love the live studio audience. It really gives the actors feedback to their performances that they play to.

When I started watching this show again last year, I would constantly see the boom mic drop into the frame every once and a while 😂😂.

Another is in the episode A Ham is Born. When Urkel and Richie build the tornado and turn it on, we see Bryton attached to wires

In the cold open to Season 6, episode 17 titled“Ain't Nothin' But an Urkel , when Urkel came into the house through the kitchen and dropped his books, you can clearly see a woman standing by the counter.

I was at the taping of the paradise bluff episode. I remember seeing the cord connecting the car that night. They had a very large thick pad that looked like a mattress on the floor and they kinda slowly lowered the car down the hill onto it where they had a bunch of crew members around to prevent it from being damaged after if "fell" off the bluff.

Not sure what season it was, but in an episode where Eddie dreams he's getting married to Myrtle Urkel, the scene where Myra & Laura are coming down the stairs. Laura appears to slip on a couple of the stairs. You can see Laura holding off laughing and the expression on Myra's face says it all.

2:53 I missed it when it originally aired but now that I know watching the reruns it’s hard not to laugh just a little bit harder hearing Reginald’s little chuckle 😂😂😂😂😂.

I also never knew that about the big giant box of chocolates lol. 😂 and had nobody pointed out Reginald cracking up while Steve did the dance moves, I would’ve never noticed!

If only they’d finished it properly or add more seasons. Like Steve’s and Laura’s wedding or Eddie maybe proposing to Greta, or Carol retiring or becomes a commissioner etc. but other than that, it a really good show. My top 4 so far

There was another scene where Laura broke character in season 1. In “The Big Fix”, when Laura gets home from her date with Steve, she starts talking, then breaks out in laughter, then resays the line she was saying.

The part where the candy fell over? I never knew it wasn't in the script! I just figured that since Steve is clumsy I would expect that to happen!

That police station scene is also the same stage used for the episode where urkel used that rocket to get to the top of that rope and beat the time so homeboy would stay away from laura

Another almost blooper was when Steve was singing to Laura “Saving All My Love For You.” You can clearly see Kellie Williams trying her hardest not the bust out laughing at Jaleel White.

Now let's remember that when this show aired we were still using the big CRT tube televisions. Those tend to overscan images slightly past the frame of the TV. Depending on you are set the stretch might have been just enough to hide that boom mic that fell into the edge of the frame.

Looks like someone saw Family Matters way too many times.

They really need to bring this one back, or at least a running gagshow similar

Stuff like the boom mic and visible crew were not noticeable back then likely because we were watching this show on CRT TVs back then. It becomes more visible when you see them on HDTVs, especially since they don't have overscan like old CRTs do.

I’m a big fan and have the dvd set, and there are more episodes in the later seasons when Kelly broke character, the episode when Steve kept saying “flaminnngoooo”! She just couldn’t hold it together 😂

The one that sticks out in my mind was the episode where Carl was on the roof with Steve and Eddie. Carl fell off the roof but the ground was maybe 2 feet from the roof prop and Carl landed feet first on the ground before dropping.

I don't mind the bloopers so much because one of my favourite shows, Mrs Brown's Boys, intentionally leaves the outtakes in and part of the fun is one of the cast members ad libbing or going over the top to try to get another cast member to break character and laugh and it's all part of the show. It's actually a brilliant idea. "It's a man in a dress!"

The scene where the chocolates and the heart falls, and the part where the glasses fall off Steve’s head could actually fit his persona instead of being a blooper, since he’s so good at being clumsy an causing ruckus.

My son and I JUST watched the Waldo / Laura date episode a few days ago! And my son yelled That’s Jaleel! and started laughing when his glasses fall off because it does give blooper vibes. Breaking the fourth wall was something that happened a LOT in Gilligan's Island. The Skipper would look at the camera as if to say, "Do you believe this guy", usually referring to Gilligan.

They probably had a ball doing scenes for this show. 😄

The boom over Eddie and Carl wasn't visible to viewers until the show was available digitally. For complicated technical reasons, old CRT / tube TVs couldn't display the very outer edges of the picture. So anything recorded in that "overscan" area wasn't worth cleaning up. But modern TVs can show everything, so we can now see things like the tip of a boom in the shot, or an overlaid title card or transition that doesn't reach all the way to the edge of the frame. This is also why some old video games have scrambled color bars around their edges on HD TVs. Fun fact: on DVDs and other early digital transfers, have you ever noticed flashing black and white lines at the very top of the picture? That's the "vertical blanking interval," a few dozen lines that were sent in between each frame of video. This was a specially-encoded data stream that would help keep your TV in sync, and later send things like closed-captioning, copy protection, etc. Like the overscan region, this is SUPPOSED to be cropped out of modern transfers... but lazy or inexperienced technicians often miss it.

Man, I love that show back in the 90’s. Nowadays, it’s unnecessary race card everywhere by misguided indoctrinated fools. This show had drama moments that actually has a good message out there. None of this “hate Republicans” and “praise Democrats”, or throwing contradicting garbage (She-Hulk is an excellent example). This show is full of comedy, drama, and the cast were fantastic. Although nothing against the different actress for Harriette Winslow, but I really love the original actress. I was also sadden by the late actress for Myra. She was one of my 90’s crush. As for the video, I can easily explain about Eddie and how he got the car in the house. He’s Eddie Winslow. Anything is possible with him.

There was one blooper not on here. I don't remember the episode, but it was the episode when Laura and Max got tickets to a concert. On the day of the concert, she promised her dad, Carl, that they would spend time together. When Carl figures out what was going on, she accidentally called him Eddie. Not hilarious or anything, but it made me go, "Wait what?"

They definitely had fun!!!! 😂

Every sit-com does a "car through the front door" episode

I’ll give one. When Steve cloned himself, there were 2 Urkels and one naturally became Stephan. So let me ask you. Which Urkel became Stephan. Both episodes never mentioned who was the original so when you think about it did the original steve Urkel become Stephan or was it the clone? My theory is the the original became Stephan because he had the Urk juice molocules still on his system. In order for him to produce a clone and became Stephan he had to have more of it in him than the clone, thus Laura didn’t marry the original a Urkel she married the clone….

Thank you ...thank you glad someone else noticed that. The outside has stairs so how could he drive up in the house unless they would have explained it being a high ramp in the yard outside lol. And The episode when Eddie is trying to start a band I believe is in season 1, once Carl comes in the living room with the band if you look in the background, you can see the kitchen. The living room wall wasn't long enough or maybe the camera man was just off lol

Guess I enjoyed this show so much that I missed all of those awesome bloopers. 😂

I just finished watching family matters on Max . I did notice the sound stage from the car accident scene as well as the guy in Steve’s bday surprise scene . I had to playback a few times to make sure I was really seeing all that .

I was there for the live taping of the episode where Urkel beats up the door!! Sony Studios Culver City!! (It's also where they shot a seasonal replacement show starring Telma Hopkins & Cindy Williams "GETTING BY"!!

In season 1, when Laura makes Steve upset about their home economics assignment. Steve walks away but when the camera changes to a closeup of Laura, you can see the corner of Steve's glasses as he walks away again.

The guy in the white hat is the previous owner of the winslow house haunting it to this day.

In number 7 they show Steve's 1960 BMW Isetta, it is funny because in the episode shown Steve was trying to get the car to do something that it can't do, reverse. It was a long-standing joke for the Isetta because the door is in the front instead of the sides a person would pull up to a wall and be unable to exit the car. Funnily enough in the episode where Steve unveiled his new car, it seemed to have a reverse gear, again something the real car didn't have.
