This radio and the Retevis RT95 are the same radio. The RT95 is currently on the Amazons with an additional coupon for just over $100.

Question. I just bought an Alinco DR735T Not a fan of the microphone. I do like the mic that comes with that Anytone radio. Didn’t know if it would be compatible to work with my radio ?

There is an accessory that comes with the radio called the operation manual. It usually covers all of what you have spoken about. The meter showing proper scale relative to the power setting is the expected result. If you said it was full scale on all power settings, i would have considered that lame. It's worth noting that some VHF & UHF radios have the digital meter scale programed to deflect low, med and high regardless of the actual power out. That being said, you could have zero watts going out and the meter would still give the illusion of power out.

Great video! What power supply do you recommend for a first time mobile user?

Thanks for watching! I use my radio as a base unit in my shack. I have it hooked up to a PYLE PSV300 switching power supply. I've been using this power supply for about two years, and it has performed very well. 73s.

I am considering buying this radio - I hear that it heats up a fair bit. Is this factor causing you any problems? 73s from the UK - G7PAC

I mainly use mine for the weekly net check in and occasional conservations with local hams. The radio has three power settings: 5, 15 and 25 watts. The two repeaters I use are 8 and 21 miles away. The lowest setting of 5 watts reaches these repeater easily. I haven’t noticed the radio getting hot. 73s and thanks for watching!
