It annoys me when Country music fans talk about Rock and Roll being boring and how it all sounds the same. But I usually just laugh and shake it off, because I know that Rock and Roll is the best.

The kids and teens who wear band shirts from bands they do not listen to. Ex : Nirvana, The Beatles, Guns N Roses.... so many young kids or teens wearing those shirts and I have seen many of them do not know anything passed who Kurt Cobain is or John Lennon.. They mainly know Smells like Teen Spirit and Hey Jude but continue to wear band merchandise from bands they really have no clue about other than the bands name and the popular songs from the albums.

People who care too much about genres, and seem to think that bands fit cleanly into these ultra-specific sub genres. Look at Hammerfall, depending on which album, song, or part of song, you could easily call them: power metal, speed metal, heavy metal, traditional heavy metal, NWOBHM, "flower metal", etc. I agree it helps to be able to describe a sound by referencing these genres, but some people base their willingness to give a whole band a chance depending on what genre they think they fall into.

The emo fan base really are dicks at times. They always want to be loud and tell you everything there is to know about a band you already know everything about. I can say one of my favorite bands is pierce the veil (im a 15 year old boy) and I completely agree with what your saying.. I'm a Radiohead fan myself (I've gone as far as to get their album, Kid A, on vinyl) and I see what you mean. Some Radiohead fans are just unbelievably pretentious. Country music has quite a few great artists. Not to mention, it also has a myriad of great guitar players, as well as other musicians. Many rock/metal players, even icons such as Ritchie Blackmore, have commented on the prowess of country musicians.

i agree. my top 10 Metallica songs included some gems from their 90's era. I'm sure with more listens of Death Magnetic i *might* have found something list-worthy, but i doubt it. that list was cluttered with choices as it stood, with literally like 28 choices that I narrowed down to ten. if i ever feel froggy, i may do a broader countdown of their work, considering they were one of my first metal bands. i'd do the same for Iron Maiden, Megadeth, and possibly some others, also.

One of Metallica's best albums is to be found somewhere in Death Magnetic once you chip away at it. It's an album that needed the brevity of shorter songs and less repetition in the riffs. The biggest issue with DM is Rick Rubin's initial instruction to the band was to listen to the records they used to when they were in their twenties and mould their writing around that. But, the band couldn't be further from their former school boys. Hence, uninspiring music. Then there's the production - urgh

I can understand music that is simplistic, you can be as complex as you want, but more simplistic melodies and chord progressions can better convey feel and emotion. Key example being blues, very simplistic and very good.

So, we 'emo kids' are just children trapped in adult bodies, trying to do adult things. Well, if that's the case, then why do you listen to heavy metal, then go on to talk about all this shit? Technically, you are just proving yourself wrong. My favourite band is the Black Veil Brides, probably as you already know, so I am classed as an 'emo kid' in society. However, I, along with multiple other 'emo kids' am actually classed as way above national average intelligence for the UK and I am a straight A* student in multiple areas and languages. Christians, almost all of them are hypocrites, not saying everyone else is, but I see more Christians that are hypocritical about everything than I do anyone else 4. Show offy people, Its okay to boast, but it really annoys the fuck out of me when people go overboard with it 3. People who act like their music is superior to anyone elses. 2. People who act extremely mood swingy on social media, these people annoy me so much, that I really wish they would just get slapped and intervened about it. 1. scene/emo kids, I really wish they would just learn to put on some big boy pants (if it were possible to take their skinny jeans off) and learn that music is for listening to and not wearing shirts of them because the singer is hot. Also they need to learn to be themselves, and stop worry about what looks good to other people

I agree with your inclusion of Radiohead fans. Truthfully, I forgot about them, and was surprised you mentioned them. Keen choice there. As much as I love Radiohead because of the sincere, conscious music they've written, and I am breathtaken by their ambitious creativity, I have to say that I am not nearly excited for their music as other 'fans'. To be honest. I would be more excited to hear new music from MGMT, which I haven't vocalized because some 'fans' might bite my head off lol
