The thing I actually love about Blade's Temperance is how, when sheathed, the orb is completely invisible and the blade itself looks almost like a simple walking cane. It makes it look great with Classy Noble glams. Puttin' on the ver-Ritz.

One of my favorites as RDM is the Manipulative Moggle Mogfoil weapon. It's cute and easy to get. Love the lil king moogle floating around and the sound it makes when you sheath and unsheath it haha.

One of my personal favorites weapons for Red Mage is the Diamond Tuck you get from the Sigmascape V4.0 (Savage). While it doens't have the glow effect that many of the other weapons have, it is in general just elegant, both the rapier and the orb. Compared to many red mage weapons where it is only one of them that looks good.

I'm using Suzaku's Flame-kissed Rapier, aquired thorugh crafting or from the market board. Hilt with a nice red wing design and a fiery blade with fiery feathers floating up, just showy enough to catch eyes, but not overbearing. It's also very suitable for red mage. On a side note: I love the samurai version of it as well.

I was shocked that number 1 was the final step instead of augmented Laws Order. I do like the focus and guard on the final step but the blade itself looks pretty meh imo

Law's Order is definitely my #1, and part of the reason I started up Bozja in the first place. I wish we could toggle the huge 'basket' part on or off as desired, but.. It's still such a beautiful design either way, and the glow is fantastic.

I'm pretty into the padjali rapier. Is incredibly simple looking, but I like how it looks like pure energy and I like the fantasy of you sustaining the weapon's existence by pure force of will. Plus the glow is always on so it really stands out even when it's just by your side.

Seeing Horde Rapier my beloved - I actually vastly prefer it over other Seeing Horde weapons because it gets a full spherical eye integrated into the base of the sword, whereas most other Seeing Hordes only have a slight red eye motif somewhere on the weapon. This kind of interesting & creative design really elevates it from being a sword with a darker style to feeling like a properly accursed tool of destruction - a weapon very much worthy of that excellent Nidhogg glow! For weapons of a similar style, I'd actually like to shout out the Ifrit rapier, which has the same two-horns guard but feels simultaneously more beastly and more ornate with the heavy metallic decorations and a blazing orange blade. It can be used from the moment you start RDM, so it was my go-to before I could use Seeing Horde, and carries a lot of fond memories for me.

I really like my Hive Rapier. East to get with a 90 unsynced or I think the craftable Dead Hive Rapier is the same. Blade shifts from red to blue and is very clean imo.

The Hive gear is much cleaner than the Dead Hive stuff imho, as the latter does not only have a glow, but also incorporates a whole bunch of particle effects.

I love the RMD concept that red magic is the combination of white and black mages. This is why I put Pyros Tuck as my favorite. A tie for it would be the Rapier of the demon from the zurvan weapon series. I was honestly shocked this wasnt on your list given the amount of red and white solid glow on the blade combined with the orbiting energy balls that leave cool light trails where they were.

Augmented Law's Order. There's no other rapier I've seen that comes remotely close to matching the fancy aesthetic of a RDM while still having a red glow.

One of my favourites for red mage is the Matte Blade's Temperance, the crystals made the cane look like a dart and without the glow it's a really stylish pimp cane sword, goes really well with my steampunk inspired glam

My personal choice is Byakko's enspirited estoc. I wouldn't put it top 10 for most people, but I love the minor static around the blade, and especially the ink trails around the blade and orb. Reminds me of Okami, and makes me really want a pictomancer class for this game.

before i got the Ultima Needle (which btw fits absolutely amazing with Omega Gear) i was rocking the Murgleis Anemos as well 24/7 :D for an Artifact Weapon itself it was amazing already......the fact that you can nicely color the Anemos version makes it a solit 10/10 choice for RDM. Another Favorite of mine is the Stormblood CE Edition Chocobo Rapier ^^

I like the Kokuko Rapier you can get from wolf marks, it doesn't have a glow, but it has a pretty unique blade shape and takes dyes pretty well, works wonderfully for a subdued kind of look

So, would a suggestion for an Epic Weapon have to be one of them with the glow, or is something without all the spectacle worth a mention? If a lack of glow is fine, I do have a bit of a story to share and how it took an entire expansion and a half to get something I would actually be happy putting on a red mage glam as someone who adores the simple and the historic.

As soon as Red Mage was announced with the rotation it had, I was reminded of my old main in World of Warcraft when it came to resource management through elements of random chance, that being Cata-era Survival Hunter. I knew I wanted to main it, as my current main, Black Mage, had never meshed with me properly and it was just the one thing that stuck with me. The main issue I had with this is that I had a very strong idea of exactly what I wanted for my weapon: A baskethilt rapier. The classic, the original, a proper guard around the hand lined with felt. There was nothing truly like that in a traditional sense for all of Stormblood, even the few that had full guards weren't baskethilts. But then, it turns out that during my small hiatus from the Job during Shadowbringers, I'd been given my perfect rapier under my nose and I didn't realize until the start of Endwalker when I was putting a new glam together. The Crystarium Rapier, which you can now get quite simply with Poetics, is drop dead gorgeous. Not only is it a baskethilt, but it's notably sparse of any eccentricities that would flare out and be distracting. The true selling point, however, is exactly how it dyes. A few highlights on the spine of the blade and the focus, sure, but the felt lining is also included in the dye and it just brings the entire piece together perfectly. If you want something simple and more fitting for a martial outfit than a mage one, something I was always keeping an eye out for, you can't do much better than the Crystarium Rapier for this.

Murgleis is just absolutely a classic, agree with you on that! It's probably my own favourite. The new Titania blade though is gorgeous. I'm such a rapier hoarder, heh. I'll wager given enough time I'll probably just fill a quarter of my dresser with RDM swords X)

Personally, I like Suzaku's Rapier the most. I just like the wing motif with the fiery feathers floating up from the blade. And it also doesn't look nearly as sinister as Ifrit's Rapier does.

Honestly I really like the Scholar ShB relic. It just seems to fit the general color scheme. I really like the glowing book border on it.

I know it is a pre-order / collectors edition bonus from Stormblood, but I think Chicken's Knife the most beautiful Red Mage weapon of all! I really love it!

I'd like to also recommend "Rapier of the demon" for lower lvl Red Mages out there, it's craft able by level 60 goldsmiths or buyable in the price range of 110k to 140k (Sargatanas) one of the best looking weapons available and one i still use in my glamours

I would like to see more top weapon videos, some Jobs in particular don't have as many cool glams, so I think seeing a spotlight for them would be very nice for those wondering what may look nicer. (Like the best Healing weapons)

I guess only glowy weapons made the list for obvious reasons, but I have to say that the King's Rapier (Titania) is one of my all-time favorites, I really want them to release a glowy effect one in 6.2 it's going to be my go-to glam weapon.

just an FYI, you can buy the Pazuzu Feather, Louhi's Ice, and Penthesilea's Flame materials from the Expedition Birdwatch in Anemos, Pagos, and Pyros for 300x Anemos Crystals per Pazuzu Feather, 50x Pagos Crystal per Louhi's Ice, and 50x Pyros Crystal per Penthesilea's Flame. Meaning you don't have to fight the NM Fate for the first 3 zones (still gotta do it for Hydatos though)

I personaly quite like the Talekeeper Recollection. It is REALLY easy to get, yes, but it fits the Radiant's Mail of Casting exceptionally well. It's also the only "glowing" RDM weapon I got so far. x)

I don't know why but for some reasons there's no rapier that really clicks with me. For a long time I used the Merveilleuse dyed red, because I like the way it assembles itself. Right now I use the Talekeeper Recollection. I think it's a rather simple yet elegant design. I didn't recognise the Tsukuyomi weapon was a scimitar. Might be looking into this again^^

I have to admit with Blade's Temperance that at first I didn't like it. The orb on the end of the blade didn't feel right... the floaty bit felt off. I preferred previous stages of the RDM bozjan relic more. But the more I used this weapon the more I came to LOVE it as a piece and now I can't be without it. Strange how that worked out.

In my opinion de ShB relic looks better without the glowing effect. The shape of the blade is so good on its own and you can dye it.

I'm not surprised at the first place weapon. Its easily the best Red Mage weapon in the game. The model is great, the effects are amazing, and the fact that the off hand thing that Red Mage weapons have is made purely of the effects, and it vanishes when sheathed, is a great detail that the devs gave it.

the titania rapier, even without its crafted form yet, is still my favorite. im hoping they release the glowy version soon, although i wouldnt want the effect to completely obscure the base model like others. i dont like glows to be too thicc if you know what i mean

Good news, the glowy one exists now, and don't worry, the glowy effect is mainly on the hilt and orb. It's an adorable butterfly.

you can just buy the final boss drops in eureka with zone currency now, so you dont need to fight paz, louhi, penny or pw anymore (although hydatos is stingy on crystals so you'll want to fight that one)

I don't like the final stage of the SHB relics. They look like cheap 1970's Christmas ornaments. I just wish the Eureka relics weren't such a dumb grind.

My all time Favorite is the simple Talekeeper, look so simple but also so elegant, like a rapier should, even if I like at lot Murgleis and Aeneas because they look like Genesis Rapier from Crisis Core their guard threw me off, looks too weird I also pretty like Crystarium Rapier but the focus crystal is awful and I have great expectation for the 6.2 Rapier we saw in the Live Letter, look so simple, just a baskethilt rapier I really thing i'll love it
