Great episode Matt! Here's another interesting one... I read a couple of years ago about a man trying to smuggle 94 iPhones into China by taping them to his body. He got caught because of his strange walk and posture! No kidding... =)

Tusengubben In Tennesse a total of 30kg of cocaine were smuggled into the state by Mexican Resturants the drugs were hidden in between tortilla shells that were being brought in it was only due to an undercover operation that it was found out about.

Sometimes smuggling goes well. A true Dutch story: In WW2 at the Dutch border with Belgium, a farmer walked over the border with a bikecycle and a bucket filled with sand. He did thid almost every day. And of course he was checked often by the border control. They would empty the bucket, check his bike, but they couldn't find nothing, so each time they let him pass. After the war, the farmer met the guy who patrolled the border. And the soldier asked him "Man, you have to tell me. Every day you walked bij with a bucket of sand, and never did we find anything. So what exactly was it you were smuggling?" The farmer looked at him and said... "Bicyles"

So I was stationed in England, being a military member my hobbies being in the reptile scene. I met a guy who helped me get some specific Reticulated Pythons, then he was arrested few years later for smuggling rare and exotic reptiles into England from other countries. He was caught at an airport with wearing an adult diaper with small pouches, and inside were baby Indian Cobras. Some of the things he had smuggled were extraordinary, Albino American Alligators, Albino Iguanas, and many types of exotic snakes from a variety of morphology. Love your channel man have for years.

First off why thanks? I didn't smuggle animals and was quite unaware of his illegal actions. Second while I don't disagree with you about people like him could have contributed to the problem in Florida however, its not the root cause. These smugglers want money and lots of it, it is less than likely that someone would pay good money for something then release it on a wide scale. Also most of the sought after morphs don't normally live long in the wild because of the lack of camouflage. For instance in the first albino retic was found in 1998 or there about, and it was sold half dead for $70,000. The root cause was severe weather conditions destroying a legal reptile pet trade storage facilities releasing thousands of snakes of varying species. Some of those thrived and some died just depending on what type. The Burmese python is very hardy animal that thrived in the Florida climate. These events spawned the government to step in placing bans on the legal reptile pet trade known as the Lacy act. This prevents the trade of specific species of snake to be transported across state lines, any state

My dad bought 10 cuban cigars in Mexico to bring back to the united states for his co-workers. When we were in line the immigration lady asked if we had anything to claim. My dad said, "I have ten cuban cigars." This causes both me and my mom to bow our heads in embarrassment, not that we got caught but because my dad is a self-snitcher. The cigars were taken and destroyed. P.S. You rocks keep up the great work

My mom was leaving Israel and got stopped at the airport. She, being religious, like me, decided to pick up some souvenirs that had religious meaning. The man at security stopped her because she had a religious cloth that I forgot the name of. According to this mans beliefs, women shouldn't own these. But to her beliefs, both sexes were allowed to own it. About two hours later of arguing, she had to lie about it and say it was for her husband. She nearly missed the flight.

PhanGirling Yandere I have it happen every time I go through a metal detector where it keeps going off and usually they eventually just pat me down and use the wand after asking me if I have anything made of metal on me. My belt buckle (although basic and small), the eyelets for the laces on my boots, and even sometimes the titanium bridge the dentist put in my mouth can all set it off even after emptying my pockets and making sure I have nothing extra on me. I also do carry certain weapons on me and although I make sure not to bring them in anywhere they're not allowed, my EDC setup is enough to where even without my weapons there's still a lot of stuff in my pockets and on me. TSA is usually a nightmare for me. Lol.

The biggest heart-breaking case of smuggling I'd ever researched was a case where a Colombian drug ring surgically implanted bag of liquid heroin into the abdominal cavities of purebred puppies and sent them to the U.S. Sadly, three of the puppies died from the drugs leaking into them, but at least one of them went on to be a drug-sniffing dog.

I had to do a much earned 10 months in a Minnesota prison and I was AMAZED at what my fellow female inmates could smuggle into prison in their, um, "prison purse". Heroin, meth, Xanax etc, that's not too hard to stuff up in there. But what really impressed me were the cell phones, syringes, tattoo equipment and... Sex toys! And we all had to squat and cough (squat--such an eloquent word) 3 times when we arrived. I thought that cocaine smelled a little bit odd.

When I was a blotter clerk in the Army one of the incidents that came across my desk on Monday morning was a soldier that was over 21 tried to get on the post under the influence. When they searched his car they open the trunk and found another soldier who was under 21 who had been drinking as well. Let's just say they both got caught and was in a lot of trouble

I remember I was on my way back from Miami when I (15, and this being my first experience with airline travel) got pulled off to the side by security. I at the same time knew there was nothing wrong with my luggage, and was worried at what the hell they had found. As it turns out I had a bottle of sunscreen that was in my backpack instead of my suitcase, both were going to same place anyway...

Amazing as usual Matt! I heard a story about two men who tried to smuggle about 5kg of cocaine in a DOOR! They did this by cutting small holes at the bottom and pouring in the cocaine and then filling them in again. But obviously they were caught when a sniffer dog smelled it

Love the subject this video Matt! So I have one, it's actually a personal story lol. So my family and I have been fortunate enough to travel to Israel numbers of times for archeology. One of the times, we brought one of our family friends along to participate in archeological dig as well. While digging, he stumbled upon a weird object. Well this weird object turned out to be the shell of a mortar from around the 80's. So, he thought it would be a great idea to bring it home as a souvenir. So we get to the Tel Aviv airport and we go through security and all hell breaks loose, they are searching everything, take him in a back room. Eventually they let him go and we were on our way, but ya, crazy stuff haha

Interesting and hilarious video Matt as usual!! I remember reading about one women flying in from Vietnam trying to smuggle raw animal brains, hearts and other body parts. They were caught after her luggage was searched after giving a negative customs declaration. I wanted to throw up because the website telling the story had pictures of the animal parts >_< Lovely!

Well my friend was on the way back from Thailand and had some sweaty feet, his mum decided the best way to deal with it was talcom powder. Going through security he had to take of his shoes and there you go, nice 'cocaine' feet leaving footprints through the security. He then got questioned even though he was 14....
