That horrifying moment when I just realized I took a photo with a stone fish when diving.... oh gosh.

As an Aussie, I find it hilarious how many of these animals are found in Australia. Though, it's true that the stonefish venom isn't a laughing matter. A girl I went to school with nearly died one year after stepping on one at the beach. She'd broken bones in the past but said the stonefish toxin was the single most painful thing she'd ever experienced. I also want to give a quick shout out to botox, slayer of migraines! I no longer need to take any medications for migraines since I started getting botox injections. I was taking 3 different migraine medications plus pain killers and I'd still get them. This year I've had 2 migraines and both times the migraine was caused by illness. Botox might have the potential to kill but it also does so much good.

Okay, I got to say something after hearing so many venomous animals on this list. Venom is different from most poisons. Venom can only be deadly when injected, not touched, not drink, not breath (although it can cause severe allergies over time from long exposure), and not put in the eye. Just injected. Poison can kill you in ways venom cannot (minus the allergy part)

The Box Jellyfish's venom is so powerful that 1 sting can easily kill a man. Years ago a man was diving at night near the island of Mauritius and swam into a school of them. He was stung multiple times and then had a hell of a time getting a taxi to take him to the hospital because they thought he was drunk. At the hospital, he died and was placed in the morgue. The reason Cone snail venom is so deadly is because they have the capability of making 200 different types of venom. So it is literally impossible to guess the combination and get it right.

The tap water from a college I attended in Texas had arsenic in it. So did the tap water from a town (also in Texas) I was staying in. Both times, no one felt the need to tell me to be wary of the tap water for weeks into me drinking it.

That's actually exactly why you should drink tap water! Tap water is much more regulated and has tested under much higher standards than bottled water. A filter on your tap water is (usually) the best water to drink, and it's free! Of course this wouldn't be the case for places like Flint, MI but the bulk of North America's tap water is perfectly clean and an at home filter is just an extra measure for peace of mind and a bit extra filtering :) (at least for now... universe help us with all this fracking bs)
