The original Death. The pale horseman was by far my favorite character on the show. Something about him.... He was a badass and didn't need to do huge displays of power to get respect and fear. People just knew to fear him.

Those first two scenes with Death are EASILY my favorites of the whole series. The actor played him MARVELOUSLY! Mastering the balance between hubris, and humbleness.

I love this show. It was one of the few things I look forward to. A lot of people weren't but I was happy with the way it ended and especially with Jack taking over. He was one of the few powerful beings that were humble about it. All He really wanted to do was help

To me Godstiel was a better "God" villain than Chuck was. I get we were going for the "God is just a casual person" kind of thing, but Godstiel was much more of an intimidating figure in the way he spoke and carried himself, what I would think of as a "wrathful God".

The power levels were so inconsistent in the later seasons. In Season 5, Lucifer knew the exact circumstance which would lead Sam to say yes, and *where.* In Season 15, Michael failed to realize the Winchesters’ spell was nothing but a light show. Then again, the planet destroying fight Michael and Lucifer were set to have in Season 5 couldn’t dent a wall in Season 15! Oh, and remember how the Darkness was introduced as a force God barely defeated with the help of the archangels (though to be fair, archangels became a joke ever since Season 6)? Whelp, in Season 15, Amara is reduced to a school girl who needs her omniscient brother to tell her that her crush Dean plans to kill her. And oh, remember Chuck’s speech about his omniscience in 15x17? Well, he loses that in 15x19. Also, somehow, the deaths of two archangels and Chuck punching two humans gives a near powerless Jack enough mojo to suck Chuck dry? Oh, and remember Death? Well, that cosmic entity couldn’t foresee Dean Winchester using his own scythe against him. Or teleport away from the blow. Slow down time, or stop it completely? Huh, I seem to remember Death casually perceiving Dean walk up behind him with the Death sickle in Season 5, and heating the sickle till Dean dropped it. All before inviting Dean to contemplate how insignificant he was before Death. Then again, fast forward to Season 15, and all you need a Lucifer snap to kill Death. Lucifer didn’t even put any effort into it, as if Death was little more than an angel.

That was not "Death" dying by his own weapon... that was an embodiment of the "concept" of real death... embodiment dies, last Reaper to die becomes the new embodiment. Death's true self is a concept that always exists, it just chooses meat suits to represent it :)

I never understood why Castiel’s first appearance had him shaking the building and blowing out the light bulbs, but that never happened again.

Most powerful characters in the show were dean and sam as they have beaten everyone.

Obviously there are a lot of storylines they really should have fleshed out more, but one I REALLY wish they would have went into more was the Four Horsemen. The way they made it seem was kinda like War, Pestilence, and Famine were all just unique and powerful demons and then Death was a whole different thing, but I wish they would have all been that way.

Actually Eve created more due to crowley taking her creations and torturing them for info on purgatory's location. She don't care that hunters kill them, only that crowley was. She liked that her creatures killed hunters and hunters killed her creatures it kept a balance.

I think the crucial part is each characters powers are effectively scaled to other characters. So 1 character may be impossibly strong with say only Dean around but add in Crowley and they are dust in the wind.

I am fairly sure that Jack's final form should be number 1. He did absorb all of both Amara and Chuck's power on top of his own.

Supernatural can’t be over I’ve every show and every season from the first one to the last video of season 15. I can’t believe it is over just don’t make sense

CW new spin off series, Detective Cain. A show about how the original Cain walks the earth and to repent for being the first murderer he solves murders especially with serial killers/monsters. It would be set up like Supernatural with the same horror type style. Yea crazy thought I know.

What I want to know is what happened to Jesse, the little boy who could "kill the host of heaven" in season 5. They idiotically put him as the most powerful force the show had seen up til that point and completely neglected to bring him back over any of the seasons. Even towards the end of the show when God was deleting universes I thought between him and Jack is how that'd wrap it up.

As of the latest, I'll put Amara and Chuck on the same rank since they are twins. Death is younger than Chuck since Amara does not recognize Death upon her release.

I miss the supernatural style from season one tht shit was scary and exciting

1. Jack (end of series, after absorbing chuck whom had absorbed Amara earlier). 2. Chuck (after absorbing Amara). 3. Amara (she's definitely a powerful Cosmic entity, it's stated in the show that even with a base level Chuck and the 4 Archangels, the fight with Amara was still close). 4. The empty (the empty easily absorbs Death and Cass into itself in season 15, and was the only player left on the board that had the kind of juice to take out Death at that point in time). 5. Death/Archangels ( this is definitely debatable because Lucifer was easily able to kill the 3rd incarnation of death with ease in the final season. but we don't know if all archangels can do this, or if Lucifer was given a power boost by Chuck.

Things that didn't make sense for me in SPN (not in any particular order) : 1) The original death died way too easy. 2) The enemies are too gentle. 3) God logically cannot be defeated by angels or hybrids (Season 15 was trash). 4) As long as you are family or close friends with the brothers, you get a pass to kill innocents. 5) Castiel became weak and a "maid" for the brothers. 6) Why the writers made God the villan, kinda dumb idea for a last season. Season 15 was actually the worst season in SPN. 7) Why did Gabriel not use his powers against the other world Michael but used it against Lucifer successfully twice. 8) How did Dean the Archangel, was able to kill Lucifer while in the process of being killed by Lucifer. 9) How did Jake not die the second time after he exploded, make no sense. 10) This is just a fact, Sam Winchester is the main cause for 80% of the conflict in SPN. Dean has the most common sense of the 2 brothers.

The mental picture of the darkness and the empty and death coexisting before Chuck would be nice to explore in a comic. But the darkness, the empty, death and God having a TV mini series would be fun to see...

I would love to see this series as an anime to represent the true power of primordial beings. We don't get to see how strong they really are with TV show medium but an anime would show the destruction & power they really hold

Amara and Chuck are the exact same age. Death is not as old, he only started existing when Chuck created the first living beings and put himself and his sister in the cosmic balance to sustain all existence.

I wish you could do more of an in depth review of the who’s who in the powerful angels / demons I was looking for Crowley and Lilith in this but who knows I’ll think on this and may have my own thoughts on the powerful supernatural entities. Great list. Don't know if I would have put death so high considering he could be bound. Kind of surprised the princes of hell and lilith did not make the list, probably close to the runner ups on number 10. I do have a theory on why the cosmic entity in charge of the empty was unable to stop some beings from reviving such as lilith and a few others. At the time it was weaken from the jack-shaped bomb it took to the face.

There is no way the scene with Michael/Dean and Lucifer spinning around in the air wasn't an homage to "Lost Boys".

I think that kid Jesse should be on the list. Remember how powerful he was? He turned Cass into a doll with a thought and everything he imagined came true. The only thing they could do was convince him to take a vacation because no one could actually stop him. He's never returned to the show and now that he's older, he would be even more powerful.

Remember back in the lead up to the apocalypse. Remember how the angels stated that the showdown between Michael and Lucifer would result in the destruction of half the planet. Fast forward a decade and the showdown between the two , uber powerful archangels, results in.......minor damage to one room. I feel ripped off.

Weaponized Balthazar was strong,I just mention him because after Gabriel he was a great character.Eve got taken out too easy.Hell Dick Roman was harder to kill.

I agree with all but 1 of these as the most powerful, and I would have to say it's The Shadow that rules The Empty. Even though Chuck and Jack could bring people back from The Empty, The Shadow was never "hurt" by anyone. When Jack exploded, he gained the ability to absorb the powers of any being including Chuck. But when he exploded, even The Shadow wasn't affected by it. We also know that nothing except for Death's scythe could kill Death. Yet when The Shadow killed Castiel, it also took Death (Billy) without any effort at all. Even Amara herself was hurt by the angels smiting her (both times), making her seek help to heal. Even Rowena, with the help of several witches, was able to hurt her for a moment. This is just my opinion. But because every supernatural being was hurt in one way or another, I think The Shadow would be first, then Amara and so on down the list.

Death was the coolest character. Wish they delved into him more.

Death was/ should have stayed the most powerful. In the natural order he, if he existed at all, would clearly be the most powerful. He can end anything, he's in all places and in all times simultaneously...omnipresent. In regards to his function he is also omnipotent. He can't be bought, reasoned with, or anything. He just is. And that is true power.

Chuck said that he could have stopped the darkness but it was not part of his story when he was in the graveyard.

I watched Van Helsing, Wynonna Earp and you know what it's been a few years since I watched Supernatural in it's full series this is gonna be fun

Julian Richings was awesome as Death. He just minded his business and did his own thing. Billie just seemed to be nosy and bugging everybody.

The old man death was quite scary, although like the narrator said, a bit dumb. Billy's death however, was a joke. The actress did a good acting job, but the character itself was a joke. And no one, and I do mean NO ONE was a better suited actor than Amara. Her charm and presence was amazing from the get go, and didn't let loose until her last appearance, fusing with Chuck.

Death was the most badass. I don't know how they casted this guy but he has a perfect look for " Death " . Also the scene when they introduced him with that music as well.

So funny watching the flying scenes XD

Now that all of season 15 has come out. Jack is now the strongest on the list.

Season 11 was my fav with God and Amara. I thought they ended that arc perfectly. That would have been a perfect arc to end the series on also.

Julian Richings as Death was perfect casting. He killed that role.

This show is great & so unique

Jack killed god with amara inside of him so jack beat god and amara at the same time and jack didn’t even get hurt and consumed there power so now he’s even more powerful

Jesse Turner the Antichrist should be on here from Season 5 Episode 6 “I Believe The Children Are Our Future”. Jack is more powerful thats a given but Jesse turned Cass into a tiny toy just because he was afraid among other things, thats only part of how powerful he is…. If not at least a honorable mention =)

Dean is a combo of the light and dark, I think that's why she liked him so much. Something neither her nor god could be despite all of their power.

For me the top 6 is: 1-The Empty 2-Jack (with God and Darkness powers) 3-God (with Darkness powers) 4-Amara 5- First Death 6- Godstiel

The series has very good supporting actors but if they give me a choice, no matter if they are more powerful or not, I definitely choose Castiel and Crowley
