Thank you Matt. Great tips! Love your less-than-15-minute videos! Love your composits too. Not many photographers are such good designers. We can see how highly skilled you are, in the trade!

Awesome. And thanks for leaving in the “mistake”. I have the same problem with monitors. I’d love to hear you talk more about how you address that issue.

Hi. Not sure what issue you're referring to?

Thank you, Matt. I completely agree re monitor resolution. I wouldn't want a 4K monitor for post-processing or compositing. I'm sure there are others who would disagree, but that's is my preference

Matt thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have a question for you: Is there any shortcut to switch between the layer above or below the one you are working on?
@MattKloskowski4 жыл бұрын
You're very welcome. I'm sure there is but I definitely don't remember it :-)

If you hold down the Alt/Option key you can select the layer above or below the active layer by pressing the left or right square bracket keys (near the Enter/Return key).

Hope this were correct: Mac/win 1. Ctrl+opt (mac)/ alt + right click (win) and drag to left or right=change brush size. Drag up/down to change brush hardness. 2. Opt / alt click on layer= to zoom in to the layer object 3. Check “content aware” on top menus to fill in empty space after cropping 4. Choose “On Layer” view in ‘Select and mask’ to view composite object in real layout 5. Hold ‘shift” to switch tool within group tool. 6. Click and drag eyedropper to pick color from anywhere in monitor 7. Hold opt/alt to copy duplicate anything: object, layer style etc 8. Cmnd/ctrl+add layer to add layer underneath active layer. Hold opt/alt+add masking to get hide mask (dark mask) 9. Change layer thumbnail size: Dropdown menu on “layer” window: Choose “Panel Option” 10. Click and drag up/down “eyeball” to activate/deactivate layer

Brush resize with the mouse is better then keyboard, cause up and down changes hardness
