Filler words are an integral part of any language. They help maintain fluency in our speech by filling in pauses and providing time for us to gather our thoughts. It’s not really bad to use them if you don’t overuse them. But unfortunately it happens a lot. That’s why in Russian these words are called слова-паразиты. In this video I want to share with you 10 of the most common Russian filler words, because you can hear them from every Russian native. But promise that you won’t overuse them as we do!

Да, люди тут много использовать эти слова, а я не понимаю что именно они значат, но сейчас лучше. Способ большое. Можно узнать что значит " наверное"?

Лина, добрый день. У нас дети во 2 классе начали изучать конструкцию there is/are. И всё вроде понятно, но только тут же в упражнениях в рабочей тетради предложения построены без использования этой конструкции. Например: The toy soldiers are on the shelf. Почему в этом предложении не используется конструкция there are? Или можно использовать а можно и не использовать? Объясни пожалуйста.

Но конкретно в этом случае это просто необязательно, артикль the указывает, что солдатики на полке. There are тут можно использовать, чтобы сказать, что там на полке стоят солдатики (описание конкретного места), но необязательно.

Спасибо. Please don't be sorry for using filler words! Any language user needs them to feel more native and more flexible in actual language use. Even if they don't have a lot of meaning, they have a psychological importance. We are not logical robots, after all! 🤖😇
