I survived a near drowning, a fatal overdose, and a lightning strike. I'm not the luckiest but I'm luckier than some people. Always look at the positives in life :)

I've almost died 8 times, 5 times were because of electricity, once because I almost drowned when I was 4, once I almost got bit in the face by a cobra, and recently got into a car accident where the back right tire gave up in the highway while we were in the middle lane. And I'm still 18, ahahahaha. Life is gonna be fun...

Human kidneys can only make urine that is less salty than salt water. Therefore, to get rid of all the excess salt taken in by drinking seawater, you have to urinate more water than you drank. Eventually, you die of dehydration even as you become thirstier.

The survival story that still gets to me is the Miracle of the Andes, where only 16 of the original 45 passengers survived in the Andes mountains. At first they rationed chocolates and wine, but later they were forced to resort to eat the corpses of their friends. Two of the survivors, Nando Parrado and Roberto Canessa, climbed the mountains for 10 days in makeshift shoes and extra clothes found on the dead, and managed to find rescue for the remaining survivors on the plane after two months in the cold and barren wasteland. I have the book written by Parrado and it is beautiful.

I once fell 45 feet from a structure and landed feet first on the ground (causing my legs to give out on impact) I laid there for 14 minutes as my friends freaked out. I somehow stood up, limped up the steps to the roof, and normally walked over to my friends in perfect health telling them "Well that sucked..."

I too cheated death. I was sitting with my cat and he rolled over onto its back, I glanced and seen its belly was open and thinking that he probably wanted a belly rub, went in to give some affection. Kratos (my cat) instantly clinged onto my hand and started scratching it to the point where it looked like I got it caught in a slaughter house. I just barely got away when i pried my hand free from his clutchs. This was the closest to death that i have ever come to.

DameFlame3LPs dude this story is true: when i was 3 i was just casually walking on the street i lived in (my mom was watching me of course) but in that street there was a container to throw glass into like a trash can. But one douchebag threw the glass next to the container and it shattered into a bunch of pieces. As a kid i didnt realise that and when i got near that glass i tripped into the glass. Me hand was completely open and i was bleeding like hell, when i finally got to the hospital i was literally 1 minute away from bleeding to death. That is until today by far my most terrifying experience. Too bad i almost cant use my left hand now because of that accident, luckily im right handed xD

I have stepped on 3 nails on separate accounts and on a dry wall staple and once I sprained my foot and I biked 5 miles with a swollen foot in which afterwards we had to lubricate to get it out on my shoe which had already been 3 sizes to big

I've read Into Thin Air and Left For Dead: My Journey Home from Everest, about the fatal Everest expedition in May 1996. There was one climber, Beck Weathers, who other climbers thought was dead because he was frozen, (he collapse in the snow with other people when a storm hit Everest) but Beck finally woke up and was rescued by helicoptor, which is heroic itself since the air is too thin at that altitude to allow helicoptors to have enough lift. A movie was released in 2015 about it.

I've nearly died 6 times. I flew out of a truck; I was nearly electrocuted, I had a knife to my throat and had a gun to my head, nearly died of a bacterial infection and had measles when I was an infant. I'm pretty hard to kill.

You. Should have mentioned shakleton he and his crew of 27 people was able to survive 2 years in the Antarctic. His crew was able to survive off of eating penguins and seals. After a couple of months his crew sailed off and found an island they were able to make a makeshift shelter there out off their 3 boats alone with a makeshift stove after they made it back to land the entire crew died from fighting in world war 1

I've cheated death three times. First time when I was being born, my umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck. Second time was when I was on my bike riding down a hill and flipped over the handle bars when I put the brakes on. Landed head first on the pavement. Third time I swallowed some sleeping pills in an attempt to end my own life.

My aunt was shot in the head and survived. Funny thing is that they didn't know what it was until she noticed a bump on her head and after it was removed they found the bullet. The day it happened she said she felt dizzy and her eyes were red and my grandad scolded her because he thought she was on drugs. LOL!
