"Just go with it" very smart move. The model will not be a toy to go vroom vroom on the floor. Brilliant work so far, really outshines my Tamaya 1/8 72 D

You don't have a Tamiya 1/8 72 D. It's probably 1/12. Also these kits are not much better than the Tamiya kit. It really needs a Transkit and at least a screw and nut kit to replace the horribly unrealistic phillips screws.

I finished my build this morning - the seat harness belts were the last thing I did as I also didn't have a long enough piece of SB-1. I emailed Pocher and they posted me the correct length but it took a couple of weeks to arrive so I carried on with the rest of the build while waiting. I decided not to use the narrower SB-2 for the lap straps as I thought it looked a bit too narrow so made those from SB-1 also as I now have plenty to work with. I used superglue to seal the cuts in the material and prevent fraying which also works well - just a thin sliver across the cut egde seals it. I spent quite a while trying to find good pictures of the "lower" straps (without success) but I believe these attach under the seat at one end and have a loop at the other end, which just hangs loose on the floor of car until the driver climbs in ? Not clear in the instuctions.

Hi: Not much is clear in the instructions other than not enough material. It seems like SB-3 would slide though SB-2, but the size of SB-2 isn't enough and I also don't think a slit in the material to slide SB-3 through would work well due to the fraying. I had planned to finish the belts in time for this video, but ran out of time since I wanted to let the edges fully dry. I've been debating going to the store and buying my own ribbon, but I'll try and make this work first. The harness is a key eye catcher IMHO. Glad to hear Pocher is providing extra ribbon, but surely a mistake that should been caught before units began shipping.

Hi: I am using Wiha Precision Phillips Screwdrivers. My set has #000, #00, #0 and #1. I mainly use the #00 and #0.

What glue is everyone using for the seat belts,and do the decals stick to the seat belt material

Hi there: I used white glue for the belt fabric and I did not have any issues with the decals sticking to the material.

Hi, haven't started my build as of yet finishing the IOX's 917 first, my question is this I understand the model kit has it's issues, the manual and some parts missing or wrong. My question is you didn't happen to make a list of the problems you had with the build or someone might have done this?

Hi: You know I haven't, but that's probably a good idea to keep a running list of problems & adjustments etc... I could probably put one together and I've received a lot of good comments on things to watch for as well as what I encounter myself.

@@splashbakermodelbuilding I emailed Pocher about about the issues with the model and this is part of their reply to my email, I guess they are in the process of trying to get more replacement parts to correct the issues not sure when that will happen, hopefully before I start the build.

One other I noticed about Pocher. I was looking over the instructions for the model and I noticed that Pocher doesn't use any names with the parts, only numbers. Why is that? It might be nice to know what you are putting together, besides a number.

@@robertgosnell2845 Yes, I wish all model instructions included the part names. Would be very helpful!! I've been tempted to collect a wish list of "wants" and send to Pocher. For one thing, I wish they would offer the kits unpainted. They don't even clean the parts before they plate the colors and of course, any sanding, removing mold lines, pin marks etc... removes the plating. They should also supply the correct taps needed IMHO. Given the cost of these kits, seems like a small ask and maybe provide a useful screwdriver than the useless tiny one they provide. But, of course, the #1 ask is accurate and meaningful instructions!
