+AJ Furbyluver100 I definitely agree with Littlehorse4444, if you get a pitbull you WILL have to deal with sneaky licks! Plus when they make puppy eyes for treats they look like seals and it is VERY hard to resist. You have been warned ;)

What people need to realize is, any dog can be mean/violent. It all depends on the environment they are raised in. I have a one year old pit. She is the most sweetest dog ever. She loves people, ESPECIALLY KIDS. I nanny my nephew and she always follows him around and make sure he is safe. You cannot sit there and tell me that my pitbull is "violent" while her and my nephew are playing and he is laughing harder than I have ever seen a toddler laugh. "Violent" HAAAA.

exactly! if a dog is violent without reason, take a look at the owner and you will find the problem! unfortunately in my country, dogs like pit bulls are illegal :(

I agree! I read an article about a year ago which said either labs or golden retrievers had attacked more people that year than pitt bulls. They are not more violent than any other breed of dog, or more vicious, they just have a bad reputation. I have two pittbulls and they have never done anything violent. They have been around my three year old niece since she was born and would never harm her, as rough as she is with them. I hate when people say this breed is more violent than others, I have never met a more gentle and loving breed than pittbulls and I find the stereotypes come from people who have never experienced them.

Mine was raised to be a fighting dog. She wouldn't fight, so they bred her and threw her away. We found her almost dead. 4 years later and she's the best dog we've ever had.

They really do. I get it though. You never know if a dog was raised well or even are good dogs. I get that. But I reserve judgement on dogs just like people. Why judge before the fact? So while mine is the first one I've ever had, I can not imagine a better dog. Except she's a bit of a bed hog.

I have a Golden Doodle that will let u fold him in anyway. I made his head and butt touch and just left him like that for an hour and he just stayed there. I love dogs so much because cats usually have to much energy, but dogs like to rest and play a lot so it's a good mix.

Totally agree with this. I did get a Pit though. Now I know my mistake. I can't figure out how to train him. He's not like my old dog and nothing seems to motivate him to learn. He doesn't hurt anybody but still. Trying to make him a Psychiatric service dog and it's really hard when he doesn't even want to learn how to sit. 😥

@@Animelover-bk4tu I hope you didn't give up on him or worse. To train any dog, find out what motivates him. There are lots of videos and books on dog training out there. Not every dog is meant to be a service dog; some just want to be himself and love you. Take care.

My dog has been attacked by a pitbull. That pitbull was adopted and just so you know, there was another pitbull involved (a grey one) who didn't do anything because he was bought as a puppy. After all that, my dog survived after I smacked that adopted dog. (Thankfully and no I didn't do it too hard.) My point is that it depends on how you raised the pitbull. I'm aware that they can be dangerous but after witnessing that, I realized it's from the owner. If you would liked to own a pitbull, make sure you know how to raised them right.

Any dog can snap and turn at anytime in their life. Take this story for example. When my mom was 5 her dad's girlfriend had a German Shepard dog. The dog was a super friendly dog she had been around hundreds of times and was never a bad/mean/vicious dog and was not mistreated at all. One day my mom, her dad, and his girlfriend were all just sitting at the table talking to each other and the dog was just sitting there minding his own business while everyone else was talking. Out of nowhere the dog just lunged out at my mom and bit part of her cheek off and she had to get her cheek sewed back on. The point is ANY dog of ANY breed can turn at any time. It could be your dog or my dog. And while the claim of Pitbull's jaws locking up is false they're jaws are a lot stronger and they're hold on a lot longer than most other dog breeds. That's why Pitbulls are such feared dogs. And no my family does not hate pitbulls. We have a lab and pitbull mixed dog (his jaw wasn't pitbull which is why we got him). The point is a pitbull is no different from any other breed of dog but they're jaws are stronger do they could do more damage.

We saved out pit bull from having a gun to her head cause she wouldn't fight and shes the sweetest dog ever I've had her most of my life and has never hurt me or anyone in my family all she does is hunt field mice so they don't invade our home which is really helpful so pit bulls are great dogs if you raise them right and that goes with any dog

Lions aren't bad, because they are true to their nature. Pitbulls are made for fightingdogs or wardogs, it will not be a bad dog if they mauling the kids because they are true to their nature.

I work at an animal adoption center, and the pitbulls there are just lovey. Alot of them were abused and some of them even lost body parts because of it. I hate how people see pitbulls as these hungry, Dangerous monsters. Dogs are alot like people, as I've seen. When they are loved and treated well, they are the happiest things. But when they are mistreated and abused, They can get aggressive,depressed, un-attached, just like us. There are a few instances where dogs just can't be helped, and they have a mental or physical issue, but that can happen with any dog, not just pitbulls. I myself own a pitbull, and she is protective, but when she understands that we trust someone, she will take them, and cuddle them until they fall in love with her.

Yes dogs are wild animals, but not in the same sense that tigers are, dogs were domesticated, if anything humans bread Pitbulls that way. One of the annoying things is how a lot of people think pit bull is a breed, when in reality its a type of body build that many 'bull' breed dogs have. Because of this many dogs are just called pit bulls, which then are seen as bad dogs. A dog is a dog no matter the shape of his head or chest. With the right training, they can be man's best friend, and any dog without training, not just 'pit bulls' van be potentially dangerous. It isn't the breed or size, or look of the dog, its the love and training they received from their owner that creates them. Hell, even many mistreated 'pit bulls' still love people. A dog should be judged for their own temperament, not what they look like. Every dog is different tout side of its breed, we need to stop judging a dog on its appearance before we deicide that is a 'bad dog' or not.

Exactly, I know that here in Dallas, a mailman had gotten arrested because he had hurt a small dog because it was attacking him. But if it was a pitbull, all hell would have broken loose.

Pits are AMAZING!!!!!!! Everyone is like "ONCE I SAW THIS ONE VIDEO WHERE IT ATTACKED SOMETHING" THAT WAS JUST ONE FREAKING VIDEO and others are like "Oh, my friend said they were mean so they are" No. Just No. IT'S TIME TO STOP! No, i'm serious, it depends on the owner and the way the pit is treated. We found one of our pits at the age of 11 months, beefed up and poorly cropped ears. He gets ear infections all the time... Sometimes i just use him as a pillow and he doesn't care

People show you a couple of videos of pitbulls next to babies and say, wow! look at how wonderful they are! And simply list how great their pitbull is, as if theirs represents the whole breed. I'd like you to meet my great white shark, her name is Cappy She's really just the sweetest thing, people like to say they're murderers but they really aren't! It's not about "aggression" or "how they're raised" the problem is how dangerous they can be in the event that you do get attacked. They do far more damage than other dogs. A golden retriever isn't going to viciously maul you and almost kill you because it isn't capable of it in the event of one becoming aggressive. A pitbull can.

My mom is a veterinarian and has seen countless dogs. She has never been bitten by a pit bull, but has been by many other breeds. I also have owned two pit bulls and neither would ever hurt a fly. My other dog is actually more aggressive than my Pitts.

Any animal specie can be dangerous and violent, but who wouldn't be ''crazy'' and violent if the people you trusted chipped your body parts off and beat and force you into fighting against other victims. Even humans would go crazy and mentally scard for life from that. Pit bulls are great dogs as long as they have an owner who knows what they are doing and that rule apply to all animals, even human abe kids.

Once upon a time, in World War 1, there was a dog named Stubby. Stubby was a war dog, and the only dog to be nominated for rank and then promoted to sergeant through combat. He served with the 102nd Infantry Regiment in the trenches of France for 18 months and also went into 17 battles. Stubby learned to warn his unit of poison gas attacks, he located wounded soldiers in no-mans land, plus, since he could hear the whine of incoming artillery shells before humans could, he became very adept at letting his unit know when to duck for cover. He was even solely responsible for capturing a German spy in the Argonne. Due to his capture of the enemy spy, the commander of the 102 Infantry nominated Stubby for the rank of sergeant. Stubby was in fact a Pit bull. And this is a true story. Pit bulls are some of the most loyal dogs ever. If you see a "mean" Pit bull, it wasn't their fault, their owners made them that way. Pit bulls are even recognized as some of the best dogs to take care of children. There was an old show in the 1990's called "Little Rascals," which was about 9 kids and their dog, Peter. Peter was a Pit bull.

Pitbulls are awesome dogs, but they are not for everyone. They are extremely high maintenance, requiring lots of structured exercise, and firm leadership from their human. I say this as someone who has worked with many pitbulls and the exhausted mama of a well behaved pit bull. Awesome dogs who require skilled owners.

Pitbulls are the best dogs. Working at a no-kill animals shelter, I see many abused animals. Most of them Pitbulls. There was one in particular, who was abused, and he was actually the sweetest, most obedient dog I've ever met. The only aggressive dogs I've encountered were chihuahuas, Huskies, and labs. (And from working at an animal shelter, I see many animals) but I have never seen an aggressive pitbull. Never.

I love pit bulls, I use to babysit this little girl and the family had a rescue named Samantha, She was a total sweetheart. She always thought she was a small dog because she'd always try to sit her heavy self on my lap lol. The only thing "dangerous" about her was that damn wagging tail :)

Before I got my two pit bulls I wasn't a fan of them, but then when I got them they were the most loving and sweet dogs ever. My puppies were only a month when my family got them, and you could easily hold them with one hand, but now they are so big and heavy! My puppies are a pit bull, Shitzu and red heeler mix and they are beautiful!

It's so cute that our family dogs growing up could 'smile', because everyone in the house did it all day. It looked like a condescending sneer, but it was them curling up their lips and wagging their tails- because they thought that's how we did it! They were absolute sweethearts, and never hurt a fly- well, they never hurt anything except from flies. One of them, a Cairn Terrier, loved chasing them around- and the other, a Tibetan Terrier, loved chasing her! (We got the Tibetan after the Cairn, because they need almost 24/7 companionship. My mum was a stay-at-home mum anyways, but this is a room-to-room sorta thing. She *needed* to be cuddled by every moving thing that passed through our home.)

Dogs are some of the most incredible animals on this planet, they care for us unconditionally and will happily put their life before ours. Many breeds are miss-understood, but none so much as the gentle pit bull. You know whats scary? Murders, terror attacks, suicides, economy failure, cancer, disease, natural disasters. You know whats not? A caring, gorgeous breed that finds itself hated and banned in many states through out the world. Pit bulls are just as gentle as any dog, you know whats just as likely to bite you as a pit bull? A poodle, full sized ones are absolutely huge, and if one of them attacked you, it wouldn't be pleasant. Pit bull attacks are rare, but when they happen there socialised every where on electronic platforms alike- Everyone wants to hear about the badly trained pit bull that took a chunk out of someone arm, nobody wants to hear about the husky cross that left a man needing intensive plastic surgery and without sight in one eye. Im not denying that pit bulls have attacked, but what really needs to happen is for people to stop ignoring the attacks of other breeds! Pit bulls can hurt if they bite. Heck- they can kill! But so can any other dog. There is No such thing as a bad pit bull, only a terrible owner.

They are only bad if you raise them bad. The only downside with a well raised one is how bulky and strong they are especially if you get hit with their tails. But that is also a good thing for your protection. They are both strong and lovable if you raise them right.

I love my Pit Bulls. One I grew up with and one we got just recently who is a rescue. He grew up fighting and when he couldn't fight anymore, tied up and left to die. Despite all that, he is the sweetest.

I really wanted a pit bull when I went to the humane society. My mom and her boyfriend weren't to fond of the idea cause they are "bully breeds." I truly think they aren't bully breeds, it's all on how you "raise them" and treat them. I don't know why but I attract a lot of pit bulls. Unfortunately, at the shelter I wasn't able to get a pit butttt I did get one of the best dog in the world:) in the future I will get a pit bull.

Just recently I finished a volunteer program at an animal shelter, and I absolutely fell in love with one of the pit bulls there. He was just so inquisitive and calm. Nobody while I was there wanted to adopted him just because he was big. :( I hella would have adopted him.

My brother has a lab pit bull mix and everyone so afraid of him but he's the nicest dog I've seen. He understands the feeling of having skin in his mouth so he if you accidently put your hand in his mouth (like when you're playing with him) he pulls away and opens his mouth as much as he can so he doesn't harm you. He also gets so excited when you visit him so he'll just wiggle and wiggle until you notice him. Pit bulls are so sweet and misunderstood and that makes me really sad.

Pitbulls may have been bred as fighting dogs, but they are not inherently evil, same as all dogs. They're just raised in an improper way that forces them to attack people in self defense/fear. This was a sweet video but I'm still not 100% sold. Where I live, pitbulls and rottweiler's are creatures from hell. After reading some of the comments, I'm gathering that this is due to improper training. I've just heard way too much horror stories. I'm scarred. Not for life. The dogs in this video seemed sweet.

Adopted 2 pitbulls and had them flown up from Puerto Rico. They are the sweetest babies in the world. They do not like other dogs but they LOVE people. They want nothing but love and snuggles (and treats).

Savana V Part of their bad image comes from the fact that terriers are bred to bite and not release (even a little Yorky). So a pitbull bites you it's more likely to go for the neck & head and not release.... where retrievers and such are more likely to bite your arms or legs and quickly release you.... But I think more people are bitten by retrievers each year.
