I think singles do not get proper instruction from godly people on how to respect each other. As a woman, I feel like I am seeing so many women who do not respect men, and men who look at women as merchandise. You can't get to know someone at their core if you can't first recognize and respect them as human beings. Great message today.

@wildonez3076 not quite. Jesus promised the disciples that He would send His Spirit to them after He left. They still continued in fellowship with each other, growing together and being accountable for each other. The Holy Spirit is given to us for us together in unity not in lieu of us together.

This was really good! I agree with everything stated. My Sis and I were praying for over 2 years twice a week for godly marriages and the Lord revealed to us 2 major issues: the idolatry of manhood and womanhood AND fear. Fear was a major spirit God has us praying against. There are a lot of singles who aren’t married because they are fearful of making the wrong choice, fear of being stretched aka sanctified, and not trusting their ability to hear the voice of God (partly because of running from the voice of God due to fear He will speak something they don’t want). Anywho this was much needed!

These were really helpful. The part about having healthy platonic friendships with the opposite sex is truly a rarity in the church. Without it having to be “the one” I will pray and see how to begin to have this normalized ❤

Proximity is very important even in your singleness. If you hang with people who still live in the world doing the things you’re trying to fast from or end all together you’ll be the next one. 😮

#11 The idolization of marriage makes single people desperate to get into marriage and will accept anything to reach this goal. I feel like in church we idolize marriage to our own detriment. We isolate and belittle single people as if they have no purpose outside of matrimony. So you can’t properly do the work you need to serve God while waiting on your spouse because you feel so broken and unfulfilled that you will rush #12 broken families make marriage seem useless or unattainable. Single people are so lonely nowadays because of dysfunctional families and friend systems. You can built a marriage when you have so much brokenness from your dysfunctional family patterns

Where can we meet godly spouses especially if there is none in our local church? As a woman, what’s the balance between waiting on God and doing my part? Enjoyed this!

As a fellow woman, here's what I reflected on based on your question: 1. God's children are everywhere, not just in the local church on Sunday. They're passing you on the sidewalk, on the train, at the airport, on the flight, in your market/mall, in business establishments, in the restaurant, etc. They're everywhere doing normal human activities. 2. On balance between waiting on God and doing your part, there is a deeper level of submission and intimacy with God that relieves you of this question. Because as you submit and connect with Him daily, you move obediently to His instructions. And as you obey and trust Him completely, He sets your feet on the path He wants you to take. Rebecca's obedience in her daily life led her to the well where Abraham's servant was waiting for the right wife. Ruth's obedience led her into Boaz's line of sight. We serve a very strategic God. In the context of a close Father-daughter relationship with Abba, we will know His voice and hear His instructions on what to do, where to wait/how to wait, etc. In the meantime, we continue seeking Jesus Christ, for it is through Him (and the people He puts in our lives to guide/mentor/teach/help us) that we learn the value of gifts such as love, forgiveness, patience, and how to exercise these graces in marriage.

Hey! This is a great question. I personally think the church is great place to meet a spouse. However, God can do wonders and you can meet your spouse anywhere! I too am waiting on God, but I don’t think there’s anything that we need to do except pray. In the area of marriage, God will make the connection happen. Sometimes the person can even be near but it’s not yet the time to meet! I pray you get the desires of your heart! 💕

(Edit: This response is for your second question about balance.) I’ve experienced wondering about this balance too, but in my experience I’ve learned to go to God about these things too. He wants you to bring these questions to Him to and He will answer you and show you what you can do in a way that is unique to your life and situation. Take time to pray bold prayers and communicate openly with God about what is on your heart. In my experience God had me focus on pursing Him and He pruned my heart and my life of things that were not serving me. Then - at God’s timing - I ran into the man I am with now. All in all, trust God. Ask Him all your questions. Take time to listen for His reply. Be patient and focus on Him knowing that He loves you and has the best in store for you. It won’t be easy, but the testimony you’ll have on the other side (when He does it) will give you even more strength to make it through difficult days. 😊 Be blessed. Stay encouraged. He never fails.

I'm a purpose and relationship coach and I teach Christian single women dating confidence. The church is great, but not all of them are there. Some that are in the church may also not be ready for relationships or marriage. I agree with spending time with God and allowing him to work outside your comfort zone a bit. Now, because our God is limitless you shouldn't have to do much, he will provide the opportunities. But ask Him to give you guidance. I also give practical advice on what to do in my dating sessions.

This was Awesome and much needed. I agree with all of these 10 questions why Christians are not getting married. I actually prayed this question to The Lord… there are so many single women and single brothers in the church… What is hindering them from dating each other within the congregation instead of looking outside of the church??🤔. You answered the question for me with this podcast topic… Thanks for sharing 👏👏👏💯🙌😊👊

I realized that preferences are good if they are aligned with God's preferences for you. Do not go against your preference though. As someone who is not my husband's physical preference, please do not compromise. It has been an unnecessary pain for me. I would have never wanted to be someone to settle for. And being able to see what an actual healthy marriage looks like is so needed. Cause I have no idea what it looks like in different areas. Who do you talk to about this stuff? All the things? As far as relationship with the opposite sex, yeah I am not for that. Probably because I have been betrayed. Specifically, being told I'm unattractive by SO while he affirms other women.
@Weneed2talktv
@Weneed2talktv Ай бұрын
Ma’am I’m sorry to tell that’s an integrity problem. He hasn’t chosen you. You’re just married. Unfortunately it doesn’t matter how beautiful a woman is, in certain seasons, on certain days, other women can stand out more. But him not choosing you, affirming you, and seeing the beauty in you is a choice. Imagine if you’re sick, or sitting in pregnant weight, that would make you insecure because in those moments, YOU’RE NOT HIS PREFERENCE. He has to choose you and be grounded. It’s less of apreference thing and more of a character thing. Preferences are good but they alone won’t promise his eyes or heart.

@@Weneed2talktv So yes, I recently gave my life to Christ, the church I grew up in doesn't preach bible and the culture of the church is very problematic and normalised, elders have mistresses that are children, it's scary actually. I do not have any friends, as the last year was very difficult and there was a major shift in my life, so a lot of the friends I had fell off, but that also majorly isolated me from my family because I was grieving and 'everybody is too busy with their own lives'. My dad also abandoned me and he was an anchor in my faith, in the house I live in I am the only one who is saved. So I hope that's more context when I say it's me and God, and the Holy Spirit and Jesus only basically.

@karabodikobe not to be disrespectful but you're putting alot of expectations on KZfaq content creators. No KZfaq video is gonna fill the wound & emptiness you have. Sure you would benefit from prayer requests, ask for tips during a time of isolation but it really sounds like you need to work on your personal relationships. Don't allow yourself to wallow in that isolation. Get a hobby. Seek good company and positive activities (meetup or eventbrite are good places to start looking). Repair your relationships with good people & really consider getting therapy (but you must be willing & ready to make changes I think). God bless & good luck.

This video was well done. I will say though, Apostle Paul was MGTOW and could be considered slightly Red Pill in the sense that he was more focused on purpose than women/marriage. I’m not red pill but some aspects of it should be acknowledged because of the society we live in today.
@keelhe893
@keelhe893 Ай бұрын
I would not describe apostle Paul as MGTOW nor Red Pill. Apostle Paul was not a misogynist and did not tell men to manipulate and intimidate women in order to dominate them. Apostle Paul encouraged men to follow Christ and if marriage presents itself and you have a desire to do it to then go ahead. He never preached anything that would damage women or destroy the respect they are granted in Christ. I think the way some MGTOW and Red Pill men are trying to present scripture is flawed and not in accordance with the Spirit of the Law

@@keelhe893Misogyny can be but is not actually a part of MGTOW or RedPill. All they really say is marriage laws are unfair to men so avoid marriage. I disagree with their stance on sleeping around though.
