Ezekiel, you are so fortunate to have a father who is willing to listen to you as you talk about your feelings…. particularly about him. That is a blessing.

We need more convos where people from Africa, the Caribbean, and latin America talk about the consequences of practicing African spirituality, voodoo, santaria, ect so people can have the veils removed from their eyes 🥲🥲

Would have loved a longer segment on the spiritual warfare piece or maybe even a whole episode with him again on that topic. In the West, we don’t hear that perspective on spiritual warfare too often

This was a wholesome and great conversation. I appreciate that you show your father grace and honor him despite your experiences growing up. That was a huge takeaway for me. He mentioned "I couldn't give what I didn't know" and I imagine some of our African parents would express similar sentiments if we had those conversations. Also, when he says, "Are you hearing me?", it reminds me of my dad. Igbo fathers were created from the same mold 😂

This was so good Ezekiel! Please bring your dad back! He has so much biblical wisdom and insight to share. Your asthmatic laugh was hilarious to me and your dad saying “are you hearing me?” had me chuckling the whole interview! Beautiful interaction between the two of you and you can tell the love and respect is mutual as well.
