Interesting concept. I've dealt with real estate for years and it is a great retirement vehicle. I do have a thought on worst case scenario. It can be much worse than just owning land. If a renter starts to use the land as a dump site with hazardous material is could be extremely costly to clean that up....

So essentially, person X buys land for some value, then begins incrementally selling it to person Y for a predetermined monthly payment? Why would person Y not just pay the cost person X did instead if in many cases the land is relatively inexpensive anyway?

So somehow you can buy land for 25% of its comparable deal price because the seller is stupid? Then you can sell it for more than the comparable price because the buyer is also stupid?

Preying on the poor and ignorant. Does anyone feel bad about taking advantage of people with these predatory deals? Taking advantage of old ladies who don’t know the value of their land, then owner financing it to some port schulp. Then, when said schulp cant pay taking it back and doing it again.
