Dedicated to Terry White, long time resident and teacher in Vernon.
Vernon is a city in the Okanagan region of the Southern Interior of British Columbia, Canada. It is 440 km northeast of Vancouver. Named after Forbes George Vernon, a former MLA of British Columbia who helped establish the Coldstream Ranch in nearby Coldstream, the City of Vernon was incorporated on December 30, 1892.

Some rich history of our troops getting trained there since WWI. Kal Lake is huge stretching south basically to Penticton ! Anybody remember the Regatta years... ya, me hardly either : ]

That would be okanagan lake not kalamalka lake. Kal lake only stretches from Vernon to lake country.

I live in Vernon and me myself can say that you summarized most of the things that are fun but forgot to mention we have a performing arts centre down town right next to the Rec centre hope you all got the idea of Vernon love the vid keep up the good work

People need to stop relocating to Vernon. There are lifelong residents who have built their lives here who are getting pushed out by the housing crisis here. There are bidding wars for rentals due to very few rentals available (vacancy

Restaurants in Vernon are too bad & they are too cheep on materials, they served us Hamburger on an old buns, we couldn't eat it, we paid for it & left the place, while the creep owner, laughing. Never Stop to Eat in Vernon after that experience.

Vernon sucks & I moved away, it’s just a shitty retirement town. The only thing it has going for it is the waterslides, if you’re able to enjoy them without being evacuated due to fires

Yes the fires are bad but others than that I love living in Vernon I’ve got a great school beairsto and there is tones of things to do

@@Haiiloves lol I remember when I went to L’école Beairsto. I had to transfer out in grade 4 because I got bullied so badly; many kids did so verbally, and then I had my face stepped on on the playground right after school and the principal refused to do anything about it. I hope they’re better to you there than they were to me. You sound young, since Beairsto is an elementary school, so you wouldn’t know yet what Vernon has missing from it. Enjoy it while your zest for the few things there are to do around there lasts. Vernon had an arcade that got turned into a bank, probably before you were born, and now there’s nowhere for kids to go... other than the little mall I guess? But as you get older you’ll probably want to expand and do more, find more in the world that little Vernon just doesn’t have the capacity to provide. I was born in Vernon and lived there until my mid 20’s, the time will come when you grow tired of it. Probably
