I don't know if I can speak for all women on this, but I know for shy women (*cough* me *cough*), I can barely speak to the guys I like. It's like opposite flirting - I'm warm and friendly with guys I have no interest in, and can barely form sentences with guys I'm interested in. Also, if the girl in question is a joker or is particularly sarcastic (again *cough* me *cough*), ribbing or poking fun is probably a good indication of flirting. Humans are confusing. How the species has progressed to this point is beyond me.

As a woman, I have some of those same flirtation responses: smile, laugh, touch. I will make eye contact, and look down shyly sometimes. But if I admire a guy a lot, I am more likely to share openly and have a discussion with him. By the way, men often try to appear taller when they're near me...they stand up straight and extend their necks. It's usually because they're taller than the average man and have never had a woman look them in the eyes before! But that's not necessarily a flirtation; sometimes they're just uncomfortable! :D

That's what irritates me the most. I feel you. I guess he's waiting for you to ask on a date - which in my opinion is really annoying - OR he's just waiting to be sure about going out with you. I don't know honestly

To be honest, I watch too much of this kind of video about body language, but I counteract everything I learn. I work in customer service with the public. I am in a culture where calling each other Love, Hun, Doll, Dear,..... is normal. As is winking and smiling. This makes flirting difficult to pick up on. I have learned to pay attention to the energy of the men I am constantly coming in contact with. I find a way to mirror their energy if I can. I have no problem passing my number. I remember one time I was in the middle of getting dressed and thought of something I needed to tell my boyfriend. So I threw the first thing I found which happened to be the white t-shirt I'd slept in, no bra underneath. I went out to the living room to tell him what I needed to tell him and in the middle of my message I noticed he was completely zoned out. So looked up to see what was distracting him and saw his focus was on my chest and how my breasts looked under the thin white tshirt. At 60 and being together 20 years I took that as a supreme compliment.

Okay, so, let's start from the fact that as a shy girl, I'm not really into openly flirting, you know (at least no more, when i was a child i used to tell my crush instantly i liked them and kept "flirting" lol). But there are so many ways you can understand I'm into you, by my body language. When I'm nervous around my crush, I tend to say "normal things" 'cause I don't want to say anything stupid so I don't risk. I laugh a lot and I smile a lot. I may be even stuttering a little bit. Everytime he talks to me, I'm surprised by that (positively surprised), and I raise my eyebrows. My body is always towards him, even tho I'm supposed to seat correctly, if he's like on the other side of the room, my legs will be directed towards him... what else? I probably turn red too, I'm visibly shy and a little bit nervous, and I always try to say something whatever I can, 'cause I want to talk to him of course but I'm way too shy to flirt!

The one thing I do, is to try to put an extra effort into my appearance, whenever there is a chance I might meet the guy I like on a certain day. While on other days I don't always bother with using make-up. Also I smile a lot, give him my undivided attention in a conversation and make physical contact (but I'm a touchy-feely person in general). Second thing - this must be just me - I start to be pretty protective towards the guy, always keeping an eye on him and checking if he's doing alright, when he's amongst the group of people I'm out with. Might be because I grew up as the big sister of two younger brothers in a kinda tough neighborhood...

Me too. Except for one day I was dressed to do yard work and looked atrocious. Had to return a hose attachment to the store so I just went to the store in my grass cutting clothes. And in he walked! I tried to bury my head in my shopping bag like I was looking for something hoping he didn't see me. Then when I turned around he was bent down looking at some merchandise and turned his head and looked right at me. Of course he did. I was so embarrassed at the way I looked that I didn't say anything and he just turned and walked away. Have never seen him out and about like that before so of course when I look my absolute worst, there he was.

Hi Mat, You totally read my mind! I really like my new co-worker, but can't tell if he's interested in me because: 1) he doesn't compliment me 2) he mentioned recent dates (not how he felt about the women just the date itself) and 3) he was kinda standoffish the other day. So out of frustration, I avoided him just to see how he'd respond. Only saw him twice last week during meetings, which was disappointing. Maybe I got it all wrong. Then, he showed up unexpectedly at my office on Oct. 31 and we talked for over an hour. 3 months of working together and I can identify all 10 signs to one degree or another. how I get my flirt on: I smile, sit next to him during meetings, stop by his office to say "hi", toss my hair, lots of eye contact, good posture, wear cute outfit/heels, and ask for help or tell him how great his suggestion/idea was.

as a women if we found man attractive we do these; - teasing and joking - continuosly watching them, if they see us staring then we quickly look away. - If its just two of us then eye contact is easy to keep going - asking many questions - compliments - sometimes it becomes hard to talk, when thinking that he's so gorgeous and overthinking what to say - mimicing - absolutely brainless brain activity - adjusting our clothes and hair and make up and keeping lips moisturised - smiling - starting conversations / phone calls / messages - tendency to be near him - sometimes if he offers to pay there is a need to be independent especially if something expensive - trusting them 100% - helping them whenever possible

There is a man currently in my life whom I would love to have a relationship with. Currently, we are just friends and I don’t know if it will ever go further than that because I don’t know how he feels. But because of how I feel about him, my act of love for him is, Service. I love to cook for him, help him clean his home, help him take care of his animals, and do anything I can do to help ease his workload. He is a very hard worker and gets easily fatigued, so I do whatever I can to help him, when I can!

Okay I might be weird but sometimes if I like a guy then I really don't want to make it obvious so I overshoot in the other direction and I may come across as rude. Like I might just randomly tell them off in front of people. (not good I know, but somehow it has worked out so far with the guy I like) - maybe he's a bit like me in that way too :) Also yeah I'd try and talk to people that were near him so that he might talk to me. I tried to give a lot of eye contact from afar but sometimes I found the eye contact intimidating and had to break it. I guess also I try to seem interesting or funny around him. Like talking to someone else near him and trying to have an interesting conversation or a funny one. Sometimes behind the scenes I've worked whole scenarios out with friends so that my crush and I would be in the same place. Hahahah but yeah these are real secrets beyond subtle. I guess maybe the more obvious is that if he asked me a question I'd try to be really attentive and thoughtful about it. Also I'd ask him to do a favour - just to check how interested he might be. Yeah and make dumb excuses to talk to him or try and make fun of him.

I'm usually just happy to be around him and it shows. I try to play games like betting together or seeing whose quickest at doing something. I listen and ask questions and share personal info. mainly my smile reaches my eyes more frequently.

for me, (F), I am normally touchy feely, friendly with everyone. I love to talk to and share with strangers and am usaully assumed to be flirting with most people (i am told). However, when I am crushing/interested in someone I get extremely shy and avoid them, don't talk to them, ignore them. I am so scared I will ruin it or won't be liked back in return, convincing myself that they wouldn't be interested in me. I trip over myself more, stutter etc., all while trying to remain close but aloof. Totally count productive LOL! I actually can't look serious crushes in the eye because I am so nervous!

When I like a guy I treat him how I want to be treat by him. I try to become my best self. But still am myself. Pointless trying to fake who I am. Took me a while to find the confidence to be just me. If he's for me then it'll happen. If not it won't.

I Smile Back if I like somebody and want them to engage me more. I look at them longer.. usually because I am curious to see what's going on over there and not just physically. I'm a subtle flirt which is why I don't get a lot of action. I just try to mimic/reciprocate their behavior and hope they continue until they decide to ask me out or spend more time getting to know me. If I'm very into somebody I might say something stupid and giggle like a dingleberry. I automatically look for them when I know they're around and will be watching occasionally to see what they're up to and what they're doing to get an idea of who they are and what their energy is but not long-term staring like a creeper lol.

When i like a guy, for instance if i have a crush on one in my class, i feel the need to stand in front of him or beside him in the hallways, if the classroom is locked and the teacher hasn't walked in yet. It increases the chance of conversation or he might even glance at at you (if he hasn't noticed you yet)

As women we are great at multitasking. When I am on the phone with friends and family I am doing any number of things while attentively listening (believe it or not). You can hear the clicking of computer keys, the lid as I close the washer, dishes clinking as I am washing dishes while talking. These are just a few of the ways I am productive while engaging in a conversation :). However, if I have a genuine interest in a guy, all multitasking stops, there is nothing else going on except the conversation. Perhaps other women are the same way- so guys if you hear noise in the background and you ask what is going on and the girl responds that she is just typing her final paper or creating her shopping list for Thanksgiving, or anything in addition to just spending time with you on the phone...perhaps she is not as interested in you as you would like. Also, women are nurturers by nature, so typically, if we are interested in a guy, we will comment on the things we appreciate about him. It is both our way of encouraging more of the noted behaviors and our indirect way of saying we are interested... or in the least enjoy your company. For example, we might comment on your humor (i.e. "You are hilarious!") or the character traits we see in your interactions with others (i.e. "That was really kind)...

I find reasons to touch him more, touch his face because of a stray eyelash or hair. I will look for those things purposely. If I like someone, I love studying them, especially their face and things they do. I find myself getting to know him more....what makes him tick. I notice things I wouldn't otherwise, like drinks or food he likes. I notice his behaviors. And how transparent he is is extremely important.

I freeze when I really like someone so that they don't think I like them. fear of rejection I suppose. I've also found myself acting really professionally. I do alot of hair tossing also. Maybe zone out aswell cos like the man you are thinking other things. When you've liked someone a long time you want everything to be perfect... and keep putting it on the back burner til the time is right to give it your best shot. also the fear of rejection is horrendous and sometimes it is better to have the fantasy than nothing at all.

If I'm interested in a guy, I will sneak glances at him when he's not looking. I'll find reasons to draw nearer to him in hopes of a conversation. I'll find reasons to catch his eye and say hi or smile. I sometimes obviously try to find extra things to say and extend our conversation further too. Great video!

He offered to give me his jacket after the school dance when it was freezing and the cars were backed up because of all the people that came during the winter. Then he thought (maybe he zoned out) that my friend that is a girl was supposed to drive me home, when i was going to be taken home by my parents, so he started literally running around all the kids left shouting her name, then offered to take me home once he couldn't find her because she already left. Once I told him my parents were taking me home, he was like "oh". I declined wearing his jacket because I was worried if my parents would see me and get all upset. They think I'm too young it date, but I told him i liked him last week and now he wants to meet up and talk. We already hangout outside if school, but we are currently setting up a time, I'm really wondering what he has to say. I think we are meant to be.
