Dude! This video!! I wish I'd seen this much sooner lol. In the beginning with my fiance, I can look back now and every single one of the things you described was there. I expected the "over" but he actually did the "under" so that threw me off. I took it as him being guarded. The physical thing: yep! 3 months lol. Friends and family ✅✅. He was transitioning so the friends made sense. The family thing didnt make sense til I understood their toxic dynamic. I thought he was totally not as into me as I was into him. We influence each other for sure. I've never had that with anyone. But that awkwardness, I caught that and that's when I knew I was hooked lol. There was alot of frustration on my end in the beginning and I almost walked away til he finally got very direct lol. #married2022

All of this is so true. Especially because my boyfriend never did anything physical or made any move and held off on that and I got so frustrated! So eventually I asked him, if he likes me, why hasn't he done anything or made any physical moves? And he said because he waited for someone like me his whole life he wanted to make everything perfect and special. It was soooo sweet

The reason I ask is I’ve been talking to this guy for a while now (about 3 weeks) and he’s told me that he wants to hang out soon but he’s not sure when. It could be that he's transitioning from one type of lifestyle to another to better himself for the person he's interested in - but his friends are from the old lifestyle. (For example: used to be a party guy who went out drinking with buddies - but now is more career focused but doesn't have those career focused friends, only the drinking buddies. So he doesn't want to introduce the girl to the drinking buddies and get the wrong impression.) My husband did this with me except it was more his friends from school drifted into the lifestyle of drugs and alcohol and he didn't - but he still had a heart for his friends even though he limited his interactions for times when they showed they were trying to move beyond it. He also withheld family member interactions with me too because he came from a very broken home and his family members... well... they will take advantage of you if they can find a way. He protected me from them. After his passing I saw all of it. They even put up a gofundme for myself and our child - but I have not seen a penny of what they raised and it's been 4 years since he passed.... so, yeah... there's that.

The guy I really Iike now is Iike that ...he had no problem showing me off to all his friends and was always taking pictures of me LOL, it was really cute, and so nice especially after the way my ex treated me towards the end of our relationship (stopped introducing me to his friends and treated me like a dirty secret.).

liz02498 I was told, “they would like to meet you”. I went with him to their home,’and was like “oh man. They are going to eat me alive”. He goes, “no. They are really nice and it will be ok”. He was right! I was just myself, and the guy goes “we are so glad that you came tonight” then smiled and shook my hand. Score! He told me later that they really liked me, and that I would be welcome to come back. Yay!! He was super happy, and said they are like parents to him, and he really respects their opinion. Wow. So awesome.

Lol!! This is making me laugh, bc it is so true. When we were hanging out, in the “getting to know each other” phase, my bf squirmed around, and said things like “umm...so...you are really interesting” I was like “yes, I AM interesting....and fun too!” He smiled and goes, “yeah, you are, and I really enjoy spending time with you”, I go “thanks, I am pretty awesome!” He says, “yeah, so umm....”, I am vibing that he wants to ask me something serious, so I say “Are you trying to ask me something?” He goes, “umm yeah...I just umm, would you want to be with me?” I look at him, and go “I would be agreeable to that”. He smiled and loosened up a bit and goes, “so you are my girlfriend then?” I said, “yeah, that would be good”. It IS good. He is a super sweet and caring guy, kinda quirky, and kind. I am interested to see where this goes... 😊

Simply Because I used to think the same and actually tried it with girls when I was really young. It doesn’t work, either they get scared away or they feel no spark because it’s so boring for them. They appreciate honesty after you’re dating them a while but initially they looks for how you make them feel, so it’s about doing romantic stuff.

I've always thought that not wanting to introduce you to the friends means they will let on that he has a relationship already. I was told by several guys that I wouldn't like their friends., so I couldn't meet them. I truly viewed it as having something to hide.

Believe me I wouldn't want my girlfriend to meet any member of my extended family. They hate me and I hate them. I don't even want to be anywhere near them. My dad is the black sheep of the family and I am guilty by association. Believe me she would be better off not knowing my family.

Thanks for the video! When people talk about "loving bombing" being signs that the guy is really in love with you - "love bombing" I mean calling all the time, showering with compliments etc, it reminds more about Narcissists chasing his victim, not the guy in love! Your approach is more realistic! Even Agatha Christie once said : "A man when he is making up to anybody can be cordial and gallant and full of little attentions and altogether charming. trust me.. don't make a woman feel rejected physically by never trying to make a move. you will lose her if you hold her at arm's length. allow that space to make some kind of subtle move so she knows you are willing to be there for her physically. I've seen women walk away when they feel like he is not attracted. it makes her trust in you actually go away. and mystery is not an attractive quality if someone is looking for a real relationship

Why couldn't ppl just be adults and tell you how they feel? Smh. Life's to short to have it any other way. I'm very verbally expressive because of that. This guy who I was friends with we are starting to talk but nothing is official. He shows me how he feels. It's quite clear, but he doesn't often back it with words. I'm the type that wants to hear how you feel to. Not just show it. Say it.

Or he does not want his friends to tell you (accidentally or intentionally), that he's already got a girlfriend.

He can buy me all the flowers in the world, open the door and pay for candlelit dinners but if he doesn't care for my well being, doesn't make sure I'm safe and doesn't put the effing toilet seat back down I know it is time to move on...

Matt! You totally missed #4! While some of that could be true, in my experience guys don't bring a gal they like around their friends early on because they don't want competition! They don't want to risk her falling for one of his guy friends, or being compared unfavorably in any measure to one of his buds.

Just new to the channel. From a educated gentleman's perspective, this video is truly spot on. I'm in a new relationship, and having a safe space to be able to communicate so that any misunderstandings are minimized is critically important. This skill can be learned as I didn't have the most healthiest of parents/step-parents who always fought and never learned healthier ways of expressing their feelings.

I'm very impressed with this video. It gave me peace of mind when it cast not being introduced to family and friends in a good light. Six years ago, I was in a new relationship with a man who I was very much in love with, but his health rapidly declined and he passed away within ten months. The more I reflect on that relationship; the more I am convinced that it was the most meaningful romantic relationship I ever had. I knew that it was real and he was what I always wanted. Despite what a few people thought, I sensed that this man was committed to me in his heart. I didn't feel that he was ashamed of me. He was truly my friend and he would have helped me to become the best, most Christian woman I could be. He was honest, loyal and patient enough to reach me. Thanks to this video, I understand his actions all the more now.

I agree on everything you're saying, but honestly, I don't think only men's brain is constructed like that, but all beings' brains who are capable of thinking should be the same way. I am a woman, and I think exactly like men do. I don't believe in multitasking. They're just deviding your attention to different places allowing you to screw up everything you do successfully. So to me the only decent way of doing something is being at one place at a time, and 100% on the current task. This isn't just a man's excuse anymore, it's the reality of how quality work is done.

Thank you for the "ackward" "opposite action" sign descriptions. I find that every guy I meet or try to talk to, they act weird and very awkward to the point that they start talking and get seemingly nervous and so distracted that they start talking with someone else around that they know about something you just told them about. It seems so rude to me. But, they will follow me or try to come back and draw up another conversation. Seems so weird and crazy.

When I was first dating my now husband, I didnt meet his friends. I met his family pretty quickly, but not his friends. I don't really think much of it until watching this video. And I believe it is because of exactly what you said. He was a 25 yr old footy player. I was a 22yr old single mum. So he obviously would have still been living the crazy "party boy" life. I met most of his friends at our wedding to be honest and they were loads of fun. But many of them said things like "I never imagined him settling down or getting married ever" or "you saved him. He would be dead if it wasnt for you" jokingly ofcourse. So yeah- this point is definitely a valid one

Would love to hear your take on couples living together before marriage. My daughter is considering moving in with her boyfriend next year and my husband and against this. They have been together two years, my daughter is stable in her career and doing well financially and her boyfriend while he has a college degree is not stable in his career (he is four years older than she is). They plan to marry and my daughter says they want to save. She knows that my husband and I will help financially with a wedding so this is not a good reason. I think this decision is more beneficial to him than her.

Sometimes people come together and help eachother in different ways that families can't see. Not everyone is always super stable all the time but it doesn't mean they don't deserve love, or that they can't give love and support in other ways or the best they can. This is so accurate! because I know in my heart my boyfriend has feelings for me, but his actions did not translate to that at first. it took me quite a bit of time to understand that he was an unders. Every single thing on this list applies to my relationship. And what's funny is that I wasn't very warm-- I had to learn how to be more expressive. Ever since I've done that, he doesn't act childish when we disagree, and he is more sexual now. He used to bore me and I guess I showed it which made him act more awkward. We love each other but we didn't get along. But now it's totally different. He's more open from me being open.

Wow, the 4th one really says so much! I knew my man and I were falling in love before this video lol. But I couldn't understand why he wasn't super eager and even nervous to for me to meet family/friends. But super eager to meet mine! I didn't think of it in this way. I'm 25, my longest relationship was over 2 years, was my first love. I've been with current boyfriend for just over 5 months now. But it feels like a lifetime, in the best possible way. I never knew that, that feeling, that feeling of being completely content, comfortable and yet still have butterflies existed as strongly as it does. I have met the man I will marry. And I am so blessed. Kind, humble, protective, understanding, considerate, patient, very chivalrous. I'm very shy, so he has this way of pushing me yet comforting me through it. Respectful, goal and family oriented, gets along with my family so well and loves what I find to be embarrassing or awkward traits of mine and therefore making me love them too. For all the women out there, they do exist! The biggest thing though is you have to realize that physical attraction can grow. My first date with my bf I wasn't really that into him lol. But I figured another date wouldn't hurt, and then I fell in love. I'm dating a man, a man who does everything in his power to court me and to make me smile and feel supported. It does exist ladies. And these 5 signs are spot on! ♡♡♡

i also like the idea of "overs" and "unders" u presented in this video. i tend to guage my "success" of a date on intrigue as well. it's not wholly on purpose, but i find that the more deep into myself i present myself on a date, the more fascinating dudes find me. this comes naturally to me, of course, but it is equally something i look for in a guy. if i'm on a date and he's got some sort of "under" going on with himself naturally as well, i'm pretty much interested. i tend to be attracted to mysterious/more quiet dudes. it's just that pull thing that they've got goin on. it's like the more i talk to them, the more i wanna know yet everything unravels slowly and it's just such a beautiful thing to engage in when it's mutual.
