I feel like the footage in the trailer is cut a bit, for example the shot of Bowser with the power star, the scene with Mario and Toad (how would Toad even know Mario's name if he didn't actually tell Toad?), and I felt like Mario would make a startled noise/scream after being jumpscared by Toad.

Ummm....none of these are secrets. Plus Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros are two very different games. And Bowser is not the antagonist of Super Mario Kart. And...."Mushroom planet"? It's Mushroom Kingdom. And Toad's role is to "help with his missions"? Sonic? I can tell you are not a real Mario fan and it seems everything you know about Mario, you know from Mario Kart.
