Just watching this video. Great tips re sewing supplies. However, regarding magnetic seam guides, I have a Janome 4300 (computerised), phoned Janome when I heard magnets might cause problems, to which they assured me that the amount of magnetism will NOT affect the computerised bits. In the past, magnets were consided to affect computer parts but these seam guides don't have enough magnetism so are perfectly safe to use. I use a magnetic seam guide and have had no problems. If any doubt, I would suggest contacting your particular manufacturer to check with them. :) Happy sewing :)

Thanks for your video! Great ideas! I have two computerized Bernina machines, I asked my dealer if I can use magnetic anything on my machine and she said Yes! The issue with the machine having trouble with magnets has been fixed! So no worries. I would advise contacting your sewing machine dealer and ask just to be sure for other brands.

This just popped up on my KZfaq feed. I remember you from the Covid mask making I just got a Juki a year ago and I was deciding to do some free motion. Quilting came across a video from Leah day and she also uses those bobbin washers. so I ordered some last night and also I ordered that grip grid thing the other day Talk about coincidence and thanks for showing how that bobkin works. I’ve got it as part of a package and didn’t know what the heck I was supposed to do with it. 😅

The old wives tale about magnets and computerised machines raises it's head again. It is just not true that magnets ruin your computerised machine. You'd need a magnet the size of a cooker to do slight damage and who is going to do that. Go ahead and cover your machine with magnets. Nothing will change, accept a few bits might come rushing towards it! Haha I've had one of those gadgets for years. All of my computetised machines running fine. Like your list but because I hate spending out unnecessarily, I'm thinking home-made alternatives! Thank you for sharing xx

We spend a lot of time at the beach so having a sweatshirt that can snug down on the head to keep their ears warm is a must.
