Honorable mention: During Kurt Angles debut babyface run he kept getting booed. Vince relayed the ref to tell Kurt to insult the crowd, so he took the mike and said "Listen here, you do not boo an Olympic gold medalist!" and a heel superstar was born

Mick Foley calling an audible against Triple H at Royal Rumble 2000. Instead of doing a single pedigree and that’s that. Mick kicked out (to a legit shocked Trips) and told his ring partner to do another one onto the thumbtacks in the ring. Made both look like beasts, just for opposite reasons. And made an epic match that much better.

You missed out one of the most important: Giant Baba changing the result of the GOAT Misawa Mitsuharu vs Jumbo Tsuruta. Baba saw and heard the support the crowd had for Misawa before the event began on June 8th 1990, so he sent a messenger backstage to change the result for Misawa to win shortly before they went out there. This launched the greatest era in pro wrestling history.

Regarding the Flair Flop, I was watching some boxing highlights and a guy got hit so hard, he went down popped back up and then went down again. You could tell he had no control of himself. It wasn't as refined as the Flair Flop but it certainly reminded me of it. So it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility.

Overscripting really is the biggest issue imo. Give your stars the outline, let them cut their own promo, and work from there. Everything flows better when they arent trying to remember their lines and they can just let themselves get caught up in the moment and fire off a line. Maybe some will flop, but that happens with the scripted events anyways. The guys who can sell the promos and the fights are the ones who deserve their spot on the roster. Not whoever vince randomly decides will be the next big thing no matter what the fans think. Show some flexibility in the writer room, work with what the crowds like and hate. Most of all, give vince some freaking thorazine so he can relax his stranglehold on the company a bit.

It's because she is dangerous in the ring, like people get legitimately injured because she botches so much. She had potential while she was in NXT, and was brought up way too early. She is still pretty damn green in alot of areas, but they wanted a "monster" on the women's roster. Oh and she is related to the Rock, so I am sure that had something to do with it, too.

Not enough Gangrel. LOL, I love it. However, you really skipped the much better story of Mr. Socko, he was an improvized bit, but it was in a promo where Vince was in the hospital (due to a beating from Stone Cold) and Mankind was trying to cheer Vince up with lame gifts, and then got the idea to grab a pen and a sock, dive under Vince's bed and come up with a lame sockpuppet and came out with 'Mister Socko says to turn that frown upside down!' Vince finally throws Mick out of his room, and his last words were a disgusted 'mister socko!' and Sockomania ran wild. Fans wanted to see it, and a few days later....the socko claw was born.

@@rtyuik7 Absolutely. Rock always used an off-the-rope falling elbow, but like you said, no one knew that he was going to turn a basic move into one of the hokiest finishers in WWE history!

In terms of Scott hall If you have a great wrestler and gimmick, you don't need him to be world champion. I greatly for example enjoyed all of woken matt hardy.
