@@lamestudiosinc418 To put it simply: pride. It's the downfall of a lot of villains, they consider themselves on a higher level than everyone else (Brock Lesnar), or they just see it as too cheap. It's also a basic of storytelling, what use is a villain who poses no actual threat? What good is a hero who can't actually defeat anything on his own? It's just not cohesive for storytelling to *always* take the easy way out. Plus usually (from my vague memory) in storyline if a heel does take advantage of Champion's Advantage too much to keep the title they get threatened by the authority figure or get put in a special stipulation match where it doesn't apply anymore.

That's actually the most disappointing part of the Rumble. How next to no one uses the rules to their potential, it's a no DQ match where there is only 1 method of elimination. So you could realistically see people fighting with weapons on the outside then only throw someone into the ring to eliminate them. But when they go to the ring to make an elimination, they would also have to watch out for other superstars using the ring space to ambush them. It would play more like The Hunger Games then a glorified OTR Battle Royal. It would be interesting to watch, more confusing but also more interesting.

OK---the story goes that one of the conditions when Vince Sr. sold WWE/WWF to Vince Jr. in the early 1980's was that Vince Jr. had to give Kevin Dunn a job for life. This stipulation was apparently added because Kevin Dunn's father once saved a tape library from the trunk of a car that was on fire. So, in a show of loyalty for Kevin Dunn's father risking life and limb to save the film, Vince Sr. put in the bill of sale a condition that Vince Jr. had to employ Kevin Dunn for life. Now, I believe the story to be apocryphal, but I certainly hope it is true. It would explain why that Bucky Beaver piece of shit dumbass Kevin Dunn stays employed with WWE, causing me nausea every Monday and Tuesday with his shaky and zoomy camera shots, all because he thinks he's some big Hollywood producer/director.

If one wrestler threw his/her opponent over the top rope in a non-battle royale match, they were automatically disqualified. It looked really silly when Superfly Snuka was in the AWA and would do his Superfly move from the middle rope!

A forgotten rule now a days that actually closed the Royal Rumble loophole was back in the early 90's you had to at least enter the ring before the next entrant was called otherwise you would be eliminated, this doesn't save you from sliding into the ring and then promptly back out, it should still however still be enforced today as it would lend the match some much needed credibility.

To my knowledge, my personal favorite match stipulation only occurred in one video game on the original PlayStation, but it was by far my little circle of friends favorite way to play. This was the Texas Tornado Elimination Tag Iron Man match. This worked by standard Tornado tag rules except when one wrestler is pinned or forced to submit they must leave the ring. They would remain at ringside until their partner also was eliminated and then both members of the team could rejoin the fray. Obviously this would require some tweaking to be a live stipulation (for instance interference by the eliminated team member should give their team a loss without putting the interfering member back into the match) But I think it could be a fun little gimmick match maybe for a survivor series?

One rule I hate in current WWE is in the 3way or 4way tag match. I hate that it's only 2 wrestlers out at once while the rest of the teams just stand on the apron and do nothing but watch. They have to rely on someone from any of the opposing teams to get close enough to be tagged in. There's almost no logical reason for somebody to tag another team either aside from their own partner since a full non-legal team puts themselves in a position where they can't win the match. It should be 1 person legal from each team like a triple threat or a fatal four way.

Am I missing something for number one? Isn't getting a pinfall the only way to lose? I mean if I never get a pin I never have to trying and get up for a ten count. If the other guy pins me ten times, but can't get up once, it's over? Seems weird to me like I'm missing a detail.

Even as a kid I always thought the DQ rule during title matches was the stupidest plot hole ever. Why not just get DQed or counted out every match if you keep your title?

Anyone else still have no clue what the free bird rule is? Did he not explain it to instead say New Day are using it and its named after Free Bird?

The rumble loophole is perhaps stupid, but the alternative is eliminating anyone who gets outside the ring, and that's just too damn easy

Okay the “Three Strikes You’re Out” rule should be brought back if WWE is going to maintain the PG rating. It could add drama, heat, & new spots/moments.

Public Warnings made a lot of sense because if a heel was that consistently flouting the rules then that proved that the opponent was the better man/woman and deserved to win - and take a title also. (no Champion's Advantage in the UK)

Stampede Wresting was the only North American territory to use Public Warnings - actually they used the German/Austrian/CWA version of the rule with yellow/red cards a la football . This was down to Bruce Hart having seen the system in action in Germany.
