I can't tell you how much your channel has helped me. I have ADHD and have struggled my entire life with organization, which as a woman has made me very self-conscious. Your videos have been such a huge help, especially the decluttering one. I've been able to take some of your suggestions, tweak them to what I know works best for me, and my apartment has actually started looking really nice, which has been a massive confidence boost. So I wanted to say a big thank you for all the effort that goes into your videos.

Honestly I think keeping my dining room table clear like she does would make a huge difference not just with a clean appearance, but also to be available as a workspace. When she was showing the folding I realized if I kept the table clear maybe I'd actually save my back and not mind folding laundry so much 🤯

Keeping your counters as clear and clean as much as possible is another tip. I added a paper towel rack to the inside of my kitchen counter door to get them out of the way but yet still be accessible. I also added hooks to the inside of my kitchen cabinet doors to hang potholders, bottle brushes etc. Leaving that stuff on the counter just makes your kitchen look low end and cluttered.

Careful with clear spice jars: some/many spices are sensitive to light and can lose nutrients this way! If you want to use clear jars, I think it’s better to store them in a drawer or cabinet that’s mostly shielded from daylight

The thermostat thing won’t work for most people because it actually has a temperature gauge on it. If you cover it up, it won’t be able to accurately measure the temperature in your house and that could cause a higher bill.

Which I always found odd. My mom's house is a Tudor and has a very high Cathedral Ceiling in the Living Room. So that room was always cold. The thermostat is in the Dining Room where the kitchen door was. So how being so close to the oven was it getting an accurate reading?

The reason to leave labels on cleaning supplies is they are poisonous. If you have children or have them visit, consider leaving in OG container and put them in a basket on a shelf in linen closet. Read a couple labels. Its coded by poison control and if you ever suspect a child drank a cleaning agent, grab the bottle and take it with the kid to nearest ER! Docs with check code on label and immediately know how to counteract the poison they swallowed. FYI

Hubby does heating and air and when I tried to cover the thermostat a long time ago he said that’s a big no no because then it can’t function properly. The thermostat needs to sense the temperature in the room and it can’t do that correctly if it’s covered up. So if you want your temperature to stay accurate then you really shouldn’t cover up the thermostat, even if it’s an eye sore. It’s better to just upgrade the thermostat if you can.

Just find a reusable store near you where you can bring your own jars, then you won’t have to worry about transferring products yourself or what to do with their bottles once you’re done with the product. ☺️

@@lindalentz5093this method can be done at most stores that have bulk bins, where you buy by the oz or lb. Weight your empty container to get the tare weight. Then add the product you want to your empty container. Then, at the register the container weight is subtracted by the cashier.

Here's some advice for the plants. Keep the plants in the plastic pot because it drains well. Probably the ugly pot inside of a pretty pot. Now when you water it you can pull it out and alow it to drain. Or if you'd like to change up the theme you can swap pots without stressing the plant out (repotting stresses rhe plant out) In the plant world you would call this a liner pot and a cover pot
@lenanayashkova
@lenanayashkova 2 жыл бұрын
Really you should re-pot your plants into a proper pot with a drainage hole and a tray. Sadly about 99% of houseplant pots are just meant to be stuck over the plastic pot (and have no drainage hole). This is bad for most plants because to care for them properly you have to remove them from the "cover pot" every time you water to make sure it's not going to be standing in water. Many people don't know that and that is so much work that nobody really ever does that, which is a huge reason why lots of plants eventually die
