Mark Bolan is underrated and one of the best of rock and roll.
@mesolithicman164 Жыл бұрын
I think Bolan's brilliance is using basic chords in a very creative way to make great tunes. Thanks for this it's made me want to revisit some old favourites.

Can't see Bolan playing ride a white Swan like that, that was excellent. Some weird B sides there too, like King of the Mountain cometh
@davidmurphy48448 ай бұрын
I think he did use a capo on the fourth fret but the B7 was an open chord not a barre. He used a capo on the fourth fret for the bass part too I believe.

Awesome that young people know about T-Rex! Even cooler that you are teaching others. Keep on rocking, Electric Warrior! There was a joy in Bolan's music that was, and is, rare. Buick McCaine (sp.?) and a really obscure one called Mustang Ford were some of my favorites. The Slider was probably my fav. T-Rex album.

Marc Bolan borrowed most of his riffs from old Rock 'n' Roll and Blues Rock heroes, but he transformed them into his very own T.Rex Glam Rock style, produced by the legendary Tony Visconti. And the results were absolutely unique.
@harrisonmccartney48783 ай бұрын
Marc's gift wasn't in technical virtuosity: it was in packing as much attitude into what he was playing that it made you feel the energy. These riffs still drip with swagger, testosterone and sexual tension.
