Need to know what a Via Ferrata is and its working principles?
In this video I will try explain what a Via Ferrata Set is, the differences between a Via Ferrata Set, a Via Ferrata Kit and a Via Ferrata System and the basic function of the Via Ferrata Set.
This is one of the episodes of what I want it to be a step-by-step nonprofessional guide to Via Ferrata.
BE ADVISED! I'm not a professional guide, mountaineer, alpine climber or Via Ferrata climber; only an enthusiastic mountaineer eager to try help and explain my experience so far.

Hello. After a long time I bought for myself the Camp Kinetic Gyro Rewind Pro (it has a swivel). By industry standards all Via Ferrata Sets follow the same safety certification. From this point of view they all are identical. They should be. By this thinking, we should not worry about the swivel. In practice even myself I have some psychological dissonance. It takes a moment to get used to it. Is it safer? Maybe. It depends. There are multiple factors to account for before trying to conclude. What do I think about it? It is a bliss. Makes the Via Ferrata adventure way more enjoyable (it removes the need to untangle the lanyards). The psychological dissonance comes from the redundancy it introduces. More breaking points. It makes the mind to worry. Can in theory break easier or harder? It depends. In practice I wasn't able to find any technical details about the swivel for Via Ferrata. I could find for swivels for work but not for Via Ferrata.
