For the overlay I *STRONGLY* recommend MSI Afterburner with RivaTuner Statistics Server It gives you everything from your FPS to your CPU, RAM and GPU usage very handy and easy to setup also comes with a lot of additional useful features like video recording, benchmarking, screenshots, and it's most common use case, overclocking Oh and it's free and the video recorder works quite well. Works as a good alternative for FRAPS and Bandicam(at least for me)

One thing to note: There are 2 versions of the M.2 SSD form factor. The first is the obvious NVMe M.2 SSD which utilizes PCIe lanes to provide the fastest and most efficient data transfers possible in modern computing. The second, which was not explained in the video, is the SATA M.2 SSD which utilizes the same data lanes as a normal 3.5" HDD or 2.5" HDD/SSD/SSHD, and will consequently have similar read/write speeds as a 2.5" SSD. Another key note about the SATA M.2 SSD is that it will disable the last SATA port in line on your motherboard's interface, which can be viewed in the BIOS.

Here’s something that can change your way of life or thinking. This is the most important thing you will hear/read today. If you’ve told one lie, stolen anything, or lusted (which is adultery of the heart), you’ll be found guilty on Judgment Day and end up in Hell. But there’s good news: Though we broke God’s Law, Jesus, the prophesied Messiah, perfectly kept the Law, fulfilling all righteousness. He paid the fine for sinners ( that we could never pay ) by suffering and dying on the cross-absorbing the wrath of God that we deserve. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Then Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses. Today, repent and trust Jesus; God will grant you forgiveness and the gift of eternal life. God bless bro

I wasn’t counting, but considering I worked in tech support for 8 years, I love learning that you can set task manager to be always on top. The amount of times I’ve had trouble with that lately, trying out newer free games on my ancient PC, heh, good to know. I had seen the option, but didn’t realise its usefulness. It didn’t come up in everyday work, I guess, cos I knew enough to do the job 😏 Also alt-f9, wouldn’t have known what it or the other one do.

It's funny that alt+f4 is treated as something like a prank or an easter egg in the PC community when it's one of the most useful shortcuts ever. Not only can you close any app without having to find a close menu, once you hit it on the desktop, it will give you the power off/restart/etc. options.

First drive he ever bought, holds up a 500GB drive. Oh, to be young. lol My first PC came with a 40MB drive and that was an upgrade from the standard 20MB. How the times have changed. My first computer stored programs on cassette tape. It's so cool to see the way things have evolved.

I just got a pc beginner tip: install ram on chrome, get rgb because it actually makes stuff run 2x faster believe it or not. Your gaming chair also can increase fps because of airflow. Make sure that you get your GPU off a sketchy site bc then it wont be better than your cpu so no bottlenecking

The item about fan speed control reminded me of my own anecdote on the subject: Years ago I had an MSI Mega 180, which was one of those PCs in a small box deal with a media center attached. Well, as I remember it, the thing got hot quickly and the fan would whirr up and slow down intermittently. It didn't bother me then, but then I was given a big word processing job to do on the system, and the fan starting up and slowing down intermittently eventually drove me nearly to madness, it sounded like a motorcyclist revving his engine randomly. So in the end, to regain my sanity, I hunted down a driver specifically designed for the Mega 180 and while the fan still came on, it was more like on solidly for a while, off solidly for a while, and it helped me immensely.

I was lucky enough to get a new PS5 day 1 and I played on it for about a month or so and loved it. It was a great system, BUT after thinking about it for a while I decided to sell it at cost to get my money back (I made someone REALLY happy) and use that money to help get into a PC. I like the thought of having more games out there to choose from and having the abbility to control the games more than a console. This is my first gaming PC for me and I am entering in probably with an upper end bininners PC? I did get a little sticker shock !!! With the budget I set for myself I got a 2021_Dell XPS Desktop, 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10700 (up to 4.8GHz), 16GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB PCIe SSD + 2TB Hard Drive, GeForce RTX 2060 8G, DVD Drive, HDMI, WiFi 6, Bluetooth, Win 10, 1-W Shoxlab Support and storing all of my games on a LaCie Rugged Mini 1TB External Hard Drive Portable HDD and running off from Steam. I am using my 70" TV as my monitor. So far I am really happy with my decision to switch over. Being that I am very new to all of this and do not know much at all about PC's and setups I am sure that my setup is far from running great but I hope to just enjoy this setup for a while and learn as much as possible before I attempt to upgrade to a much better system down the road. Thank you for this video PC Centric, I have a LOT to learn and your tips were very easy to understand for a newcomer.
