The term gypsy had become a controversial word because people who don’t know anything about Romania tend to confuse Romany people for Romanians who are completely different people. Romanians tend to hate being associated with the gypsies/Romany as their culture is often anti-sociable or irregular and many of them are more prone to commit crimes as a result.

Nothing can compare to the memories made when traveling with someone else you love. ❤️ As far as healthcare for seniors in Romania, I don’t have much knowledge. I had one experience with the healthcare system where I received a general exam, and had a good experience. Also, my expat friends in Romania had Lasix & gave birth, all with good experiences. May I commment to your top 10 list. 1. Rarely the rent apartments comes without furniture. 2. In Romania 's specialized electronic stores such as Altex, Media Galaxy or Flanco u can find US type chargers. 3. Most of Romania cities lookingw better than american ones. 4. You feel safe? In Europa its called GUN CONTROL! 5. ROMANIA is a latin country. So, other latin countries such as Italia, Spain, Portugal, France, their citizens tend to be much more open to foreign people. While slavic countries and anglo-saxon tend to be more distant. 6. The term gipsy is corect. There is no Roma ethnic group. They are nomadic people , which came from Asia. Also, they can be also found in Slovakia, Hungary, Balkan countries. 7 We are sarcastic people . Highly ironic . Me included:)) 8 too many public employees. So, u did get your visa? 9 . Why a store should give free bags? :) 10. Are we ? :) Dracula story brings economic benefits to România!

Romanians are some of the most kind and genuine people I’ve ever met! I didn’t necessarily skip over- but didn’t want to speak too much on it because I don’t have a ton of knowledge- I just know that it’s a sensitive topic and wanted to bring light to not just throw the word around Willy nilly 😊

I'm so surprised about you Americans who are lied to all your life , about being the greatest and the safest country in the world and best in everything, then when and if you go out of the metrix of your own country then you realize that they are such liars. For example, safety wise Romania is on 34 th place ( in my opinion is why less , I been on 28 country in trust me coz I know what I am saying) and America is on 88 th place , or internet in our country (which in America we are considered 3 th world country by your government) is very, very fast and also absolutely cheaper than American, and many, many more things.... I hope you don't get mad about my observations. I lived for 20 years in US and trust me, I know what I'm talking about and I know the opinion of Americans about other countries. Sorry about the mistakes I might make on righting in English, the English I know I learned on my own without a teacher,so.🙂

You did a great job with the English- & I’m not offended 😊 I appreciate your observations- everyone has opinions and it’s always interesting to hear others. It is definitely interesting how proud America is in many aspects- There will always be pros and cons to each country & it’s been really funny for me to step out if my bubble and realizing that the US isn’t the only way if life! I’ve had so much fun learning and exploring that this year abroad!

Well, wrong ! Only if you have plenty of money the apartment is furnished. No different plugs:220V plugs as everywhere in Europe (not uk as they are not longer part of the EU). For the sarcasm you met the wrong people: romanians are sarcastic and joke lovers. Wrong with dracula: it is the fiction of bram stoker, an irish. No dracula culture here: maybe some vendors are doing this for tourists. So mainly you are wrong: learn the culture and then post something better. Tnx for sharing.

That’s good to know not all places come with furniture- as far as the plugs, it’s in comparison to the US (where I’m from) so they would be different to me ☺️

I had the same problem in NY with phone and laptop chargers, the other way around :))) Anyway, the sockets in America seem ridiculous to me...and especially the light switches:))) as for bags in shops .. my dear, the European norm. until recently, they were free in Europe as well. anyway, it shocks me that in America you arrive home with 50 bags containing 4 products:)) total waste! bureaucracy is killing Romania, honestly! security.. yes it exists, don't forget that we were still a communist country and that kind of followed you to the toilet. It seems that this is a great asset for Romania .. although I didn't feel attacked in NY .. maybe a little worried on the street .. but it's a country with many ethnicities, many different people and you don't really know what to expect . Yes, the malls are a bit pathetic in America. In NY, alas, they are so primitive, through disused factories, dirty. I don't know.. I really didn't like this aspect. On the other hand, outside of NY, they are something else. they have an air of vacation, not massive, not imposing but very attractive. People... hmm, that's because you're American... The Gypsies.. yes, they are a problem and because after the Romanian revolution they were allowed to call themselves Roma.. THERE IS GREAT CONFUSION WITH THE ROMANIANS. GYPSIES ARE MAXIMUM 3% OF THE POPULATION IN RO. they are everywhere in Europe .. only here they are called Roma .. Another "European" story UGLY! I didn't understand the story with the sarcasm.yes, Romanians are too conceited. I ALSO have these problems, keep calm
