The tension on your sewing on paper is so nice. Not always what is shown by others. Your sewing is wonderful on paper.

Thank you. This is very nice to hear as I’m definitely an amateur but find it so much fun to do.

Absolutely all these things apply to me. When I started this journey 4 or 5 years ago, I wish I'd known all these things. However I absolutely have no regrets. It's been a learning adventure. I laughed when you explained number 1. That absolutely happened to me too. The awkward hug and all. Now I always include a "letter from the bookmaker" type explanation in a pocket on the inside front to explain its purpose and that has helped a lot. Anyway, glad to see your channel growing. Happy crafting.

Thanks for sharing! I also include a letter from the bookmaker in a front pocket when I give the journal to the new recipient. Thanks for the reminder! This is an absolute best practice. Thank you for supporting my channel 😊

Waxed thread all the way for binding! My first few books were with embroidery floss too. So true what you said about just get stuck in and "you'll collect way more than you'll ever use"! "Sew before binding"; that final thought process before binding if anything else needs sewing. I'm working through my creative process about covers and partially thinking through signature materials before deciding on a cover. As covers can be adapted to size. But I tend to do covers last; as my binding techniques are getting better and a cover can be created from almost anything and to a bespoke size. Absolutely LOVE your No.1 as I can totally relate!

Glad you can relate to some of these. Number 1 is the worst but I think it's the one most of us have gone through at some time😊 Thank you for watching❤️

I’ve never had any problem with twine or any threads when binding. I use waxed thread, but I hate the way it feels in my hands. I’m very weird with textures though including when I eat though. These are great tips!❤❤❤❤

Thank you Miss Tommi! Can your foods touch each other on the plate? I know someone that has an issue with that.

@@junkjournalsbyjen lol. No, I have issues with that too. So does my daughter. My nephew is autistic but it doesn’t bother him which surprises me. 🤷‍♀️

Oh, I love all your pockets! Do you have videos on how to make all the different pockets? I'll have to check that out. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

You are welcome! I do have videos on pockets. Just go to my home page and search my videos for "pockets" and there should be several to choose from. Happy journaling!
