Outside of Halifax and Dartmouth one half of Nova Scotia citizens live. That’s a lot of land for 600,000 people to call home....

The health care system is a mess, think about this if you're coming to Cape Breton. Cape Breton University is offering a partial solution in the Medical School they hope to create. Certainly, Dalhousie University in Halifax is not able to produce sufficient doctors to replace those retiring and satisfy the growing population.

You're right. So many can't get a family doctor since this huge influx of people moving here in the last few years. New doctors often go elsewhere after finishing med school here.

I've been here a year from Ontario and everything you say is true. However, watch out for sub-par movers...that was my only regret.

How's life in NS? I'm thinking about leaving Ontario and retiring in NS. Trying to get as much information as possible and a trip this spring is on my list.

The fog thing is true. I think that is why Halifax Stanfield International Airport was put so far inland away from the city of Halifax, because it was put in a location with less fog.

I love NS. Grew up there. But I'd never move back because of the lack of healthcare. So sad really because otherwise, it's a wonderful place to live.
