Here are 10 things I learnt after owing a dog for 1 year. These 10 things are what I wish I knew before getting a dog, more specifically an American Bulldog. It's been quite a journey but I would 100% recommend that everyone should experience the love of a dog at least once! 💗
We bought Hugo the American Bulldog home when he was 8 weeks old and haven't looked back since but it has defiantly been an eye opener. Especially since I've only ever owned small dogs and American Bulldogs are considered large dog breeds! He's know 1 years old and the best dog 💗

I agree with most of what your saying tbf ... Get passed the 1 year and there just amazing after that ... beautiful big strong dogs that would run through a wall for you. They do take an experienced dog owner to train well .good video

Mine just turned 1 year old.its been a crazy year but I'm glad I got one.he is such a big baby.he is very attached to me.he is very emotional. He likes to talk alot.he is allowed on the furniture and sleeps with me every nite.he is a member of the family.he is very stubborn .but you are correct about socializing. We did that since 8 weeks. He went everywheres we went.until he got big.now he is huge.no other pups from the litter is as big as him.nobody underatands.even the vets.he is 135 lbs.right now.everything is bigger on him.than the others and much taller.his name is mickey.he has a mickey silhouette on his back.he is a handsome fella.he just doesn't understand his size.

ive had an american bulldog previously and this is all correct, just about to get another one in a few days and im more than excited. they’re such bouncy and excitable dogs and they’re the sweetest things. ive had people cross the road from the bulldogs because of their muscular appearance but in reality she was just a softy, thank you for this video

I have an American bulldog, had him from a pup and he’s just turned 1 not long ago, the stubbornness is real😂 he’s a really good boy though, we did everything pretty much the same as you guys xo

Good news, you thought puberty was bad, wait till your American Bulldog gets to about 3 1/2 and they go thru their second puppy " im going to forget everything and rip all my toys apart" phase.

Boundaries! Yes this is such a good video for people wanting dogs. I went from owning a Pomeranian to an American bulldog and now an American pit bull and the latter is spoiled rotten because she doesn’t get boundaries

Wow! That is quite a change in dog breed! Honestly boundaries have gotta be set. As much as well love our dogs, they aren’t people and they don’t understand 😅 so glad you like the video 💕

@@jasminehomden yes girl this is a proper PSA that all dog owners need to know. Trying to do this when they’re older is so much more difficult than simply establishing it from the beginning. But we’re working on it. And like you said they’re dogs not people. Their “feelings” won’t be hurt. Instead they respect you more for setting those boundaries.

American bulldogs are the best 👌 I love mine so much he is so sweet but they do need alot of work alots of training and lots of limits

I have one called monkey he is a fucking nightmare but I would die without him he sleeps in the bed and only eats chicken and slobbers on everything I am constantly covered in dog hairs life is good ❤😂
