3️⃣ Turn all mishaps into jokes. Nothing brings people together more than self-irony.
4️⃣ Observe the room. Keep your eyes on the lookout. React first, following the principle: "Listen to whispers, and you won't have to endure shouts."
5️⃣ Support the speakers. Your success is intertwined with theirs. When you let them to shine, you've done your job well.
6️⃣ Take charge. As an emcee, you can't shy away from your role. People need you to be a leader-don't downplay yourself.
7️⃣ Listen to the boss. The organizer and their interests are crucial, but don't forget that ultimately your boss is the audience. You work for them.
8️⃣ React immediately. Watch the video: I'm checking something on my tablet, probably thinking about the next thing on the agenda But when I notice that the speaker finished early, I step onto the stage within a second.
9️⃣ Keep going non-stop for 12 hours. Conferences usually last from morning till evening, and after everything, there's still a rehearsal for the next day. In this job, you must manage your energy and ensure good regeneration.
🔟 Know how to fade into the background. When you let others shine, appreciation will come back to you twofold.
