Yknow ive seen a lot of people complain about mistlands terrain, but everyone tries to go over the top of the mist. If people just made more wisp torches and walked through the mist, they’d see how many huge grassy forest valleys there are, full of roots for sap, ancient gear for metal, and so much beautiful open space

Thanks! I personally care about spoilers whenever I am interested in games or TV/movies, so I make content keeping in mind what I wouldn’t have wanted spoiled. Perhaps that makes me ‘emotional’ but the likelihood is my videos will continue to have spoiler alerts where I feel they belong. Hopefully they aren’t too cumbersome or annoying to view through for those that don’t care about spoilers though.

Finally killed the queen solo after the ashlands update. Took hours and a couple silly deaths. You can still use the demolisher at the entrance but the queen will keep wanting to go back up the stairs. I was able to draw it back using the crossbow or staff of embers. Toughest boss for me thus far.

Try this in combination with the Serpent Scale Shield which has additional pierce resistance which stacks with the armour pierce resistance and it's a relatively light shield providing full block protection. I'm using root harnesk with Fenris armour with serpent shield offsetting the movement speed reduction, and hot swapping the chest piece depending on the enemy type to add fire resistance from the set effect of Fenris armour.

farm gjals to make bombs and stnad near the entrance of the queen's chamber (you need around 60-80 tops to get her health down to a sizable chunk where you can basically deal with her melee in 2 minutes instead of 30 minute boss fight.)

I finally got a setup I like after trial and error, but I'm also solo. These are good tips. I like to venture out slowly, which increases my chances of staying alive. I also found salads, omelettes and misthare Supreme to be a good food combo ( prior to magic weapons)

Wow! It was the opposite for me, I got fully upgraded in the Mistlands and then spent another week just trying to find a location for her.

That staff is also sorta a spoiler. You needed that spoiler to build that staff. But this is a really good video. Thank you! I’ve been in the mistlands for a while and I still learned a couple morsels like running while floating and the root harnesk. I’m also going to look at the lightning spear, I didn’t realize it has the spinny secondary attack!

so far i just like to tank physical attacks using strongest armors as possible with bonemass as power, for weapons. draugr fang and frostner for me and i have the fire meads on me. i dont like to move crazy fast i take it slow

I have died soooo many times and cant find a dungeon yet. Its so irritatingly frustrating. 😢 i wanted to get some better gear so i dont get stomped out every time i fight frankly anyone. I wish there were more dungeons sigh...

Especially with how far spread out the different Mistlands biomes are, finding dungeons is rough. My group took a couple weeks to find the Queen because we couldn't find dungeons for her locater.

I haven’t played in a bit, but if I remember correctly they should calm back down once you’ve left render distance of them.

That’s a pretty important material…You need to have a Blackmetal Axe to chop down the trees in Mistlands.

I feel the dev's made a poor decision in bringing technology to the mistlands. I get having 'magic', but technology is just dumb. I think they missed a golden opportunity.

Same, I mean, it's beautiful, but it kind of abandons the viking theme. I still love it though, and have high hopes for the ashlands and deep north being more viking-ish

my experience in the mistlands went like this "oh this looks cool" "dies 50 times" finally gets progression items magic, carapace armor etc starts to wonder around "oh there are some hills and lots of mist thats ok" 50 hours into mistlands "bro this is shit i hate mistlands the terrain is horrible its a stamina drain magic is useless due to not being able to travel the mist lands getting soft tissue is also horrible" "kills queen" the queen fight was the best part of the mist lands and the only fun thing to do everything else was garbage the mist is fine the terrain being a stamina draining shit hole... no one wants that

I enjoyed the Mistlands a lot overall! Terrain being difficult wasn’t too big of an annoyance for me, based on what I’ve seen though, I’m in the minority.

Yeah alot of people don't like the terrain for mistlands it's not solely based on the terrain it's self it's the terrain and mist, if it was one or the other no one would care, for example the mountains biome it's full of mountains and it's a stamina drain but it's manageable where as mistlands is basically just the grandcanyon with low visibility

2:20 another tip; Eat food before engaging with enemies. Another tip; when attacked by seekers on your boat, drop the rudder and help your friend to shoot them rather than being a sitting duck haha.
