About the asking questions thing: definitely be selective here. It’s super annoying if you have a colleague that calls multiple times a day just to ask questions that could have been answered by a google search or just thinking about it for 5 minutes. Obviously you will need to ask a lot of questions in the beginning but try to solve it yourself and or come up with different options to present to your superior. You can also compile a list of your questions (if they don’t hinder you from starting the assignment) and just ask them all in one call, instead of calling multiple times.

More tips. If you get feedback about something make it a point to really focus on correcting that thing you got feedback on. They are trying to help you be successful when they give you feedback. (2) FOLLOW THROUGH. If you say you can do something by x date make it happen. If you get an email addressed to you RESPOND don't just let it die in your mailbox. (3) take initiative and LEARN EVERYTHING YOU CAN. The only way you'll succeed and get promoted is by trying to understand tasks that your manager completes and showing interest in eventually doing those tasks. My receipts: Assistant Controller for an aerospace company at 26. Now making 6 figures at 28.
