One tip I can say worked for my because the sticking that rub the tops of your foot, I used wonder balsam and tshirts instead of the news papaer. Also for the hair dryer/heat trick, it’s better to wear them and only heat them into the the leather is lightly warm and walk in them. The way the leather is made, it will be come super brittle and it’ll crack the leather. I’m pretty sure 99% of docs have a plastic coatings on the outside. Get a leather milk and rub the insides down lightly just make sure to put something down so it won’t soak into the midsole and ruin it

When I get new docs for the first two weeks I cut a pad in half and stick it to the heel. I also were thick socks, and I bring some bandaids just in case there are some parts that are bothersome and painful. And I wear them everyday. A few hours a day in a warm house with wool socks . Use the balm , and take your time . Thats how i used to break in new danner army boots when i was in. Danners are very thick and stiff when new . Then i would wear them half a day , and change out , until fully broken in . Take your time and get your feet tough along the way .

@@Fodaydontplay any sort of stiff boot. Some people say soak them, get them wet and walk them dry. That works too but if you have cardboard anywhere in the boot ( heel counter, midsole, insole , heel ) it will really trash the boot for long term use. I’m breaking in some Bex Tech right now and they are taking a bit.

I have about 35 pairs of Docs, I've tried many different ways to break them in, including some of the ones in this video, however, I now use a LEATHER SHOE STRETCHING SPRAY, and it does the job really well and really quick. The one I use is available on Amazon and is by KAPS and is called " SHOE STRETCH ". You just spray it on the inside of the boot or shoe on the heel, the sides, or wherever you have trouble with them, and get it so the leather is damp, then put them, tie them up and walk around in them for 20 minutes or so. Sometimes doing it 2 or 3 times in a row helps if they are really stiff. I have had really great results with it and have been able to wear my Docs in less than a day with absolutely no trouble at all. Hope this gives you another choice for wearing in your Docs. 🥾👞👍😃

Yeah I got a pair of DocMartens about 1.5 years ago and I don't like to wear them because I always get blisters on my heel and the side of my foot. I always wear them with two pairs of socks and often put bandaids on my feet as well. I got the Jaidens which probably wasn't the smartest choice considering they are so hard to break in and my feet are apparently quite sensitive. But I will try the heat thing and I'm gonna squeeze them a bit to hopefully make it a more pleasant experience. I do love how they look and I do plan on getting more Docs in the future.

Urine, for it's uric acid, is also used by Native American people to cure leather from game caught for food and other resources. Maybe leather, i. e. skin from animals! has the same natural receptors and can soften with treatment of uric acid from, um...what you said ❤😂❤
