There's an NPC in Sun that explains that the corsola bits are not from dead/eaten ones, just that Toxapex snaps off the branches to eat. The NPC goes on to explain that the corsola can regrow these. I think it also says that it hurts, so that's still pretty messed up.

Maybe this pokedex is so creepy because it's actually inhabited by a ghost? I like to think that Rotom actually added all the unnecessary creepy parts upon entering.

The toxapex one is extra creepy when you know that the only way to catch a Mareineie (preevolution of Toxapex) is by fishing for a Corsola and waiting for it to call for help.

I think these creepy Pokedex entries is Rotom trying to ignite fear into the hearts of humans so Pokemon can begin their vicious uprising. That's just me though.

THEORY: all the other pokedexes are correct in saying information about Pokemon but aren't specific or realistic. The reason these entries are so dark is because they are from an actual Pokemon , Rotom as a Pokemon it will know first hand from experience how other Pokemon act and as a Pokemon it will be able to tell a Phyduck is crying if a human can't and will see other Pokemon as predators aka Gengar, its saying there is no escape as it sees Gengar as a Pokemon predators whilst humans may not know this. The Alola pokedex is from a Pokemon's perspective, Rotom's perspective.

You should talk about the ridiculous sizes given to Pokemon in this gen. There is no way Celesteela is 30 feet. *...THERE IS NO WAY MIMIKYU IS EIGHT INCHES* Edit: After thinking about it, they probably mean it's 8 inches UNDER the disguise, but THAT RAISES EVEN MORE QUESTIONS, like, if nobody's ever seen Mimikyu under the disguise, THEN HOW DO THEY KNOW IT'S 8 INCHES?!

Read some of the mega Pokemon pokedex entry. Some of them talk about how much pain they are in because of their mega evolution.

You missed out on Crabominable. It's a funny one. It aimed for the top but got lost and ended up on a snowy mountain. Being forced to endure the cold, this Pokémon evolved and grew fur.

I find it interesting how Toxapex eats Corsolas and leave a trail of Corsola bits in its wake but the only place you can get Toxapex's pre-evolution (I don't know how to spell it) is by Corsolas calling it for help

That scholar who saw the Mimikyu's "true" form died from shock, maybe because Mimikyu showed him the form he uses against untrustworthy people and his truest form is showed to its trusted trainer who deeply cared for him and used him in battles a lot and nothing happens to that trainer.

My friend needed a lot of trade evolutions (like, all of them) so we shared quite a bit of dex entries. The gengar one in Sun was so bad that when we were hanging out with other friends who were doing trades, we told them to read that one outloud because of how depressing it was. And you nailed why it is so shocking. The Dex, a voice for science and absolute truths, tells you to give up.

Mareanie/Toxapex in particular is funny for me. *VERY MINOR PLOT SPOILER BUT A SPOILER NONETHELESS* When you visit the conservation area in Aether Paradise they specifically mention keeping numbers of Corsola there to keep them safe from Mareanie and Toxapex who have been driving them close to extinction. And I just happened to have a Mareanie with me as a member of my story team at the time. In other words I brought the very thing they were protecting against into the premises. Awkward. xD

I love this channel SO much. I've been watching him since 2014. I loved Pokémon when I was in 2nd grade, so this channel was perfect. All I hoped when I was in 2nd was that he would upload more often. Now, I realize that these are high quality video that require a week to make. I love what you and keep doing it!

According to some, it will evolve when it comes to terms with the pain of her death." ...Well...after that, here's an actual cute fact about cubone. In Pokemon Refresh, its favorite spot to be petted is the same spot Alolan Marowak rubs its bones on its skull to light the flames.
